Brunei Bersanding For Malaysian Actor, Sweetheart By Rosli Abidin Yahya
Bandar Seri Begawan - Legendary Malaysian actor cum producer Aziz Sattar, 81, who married his 48-year old sweetheart Hashimah Delan in Selangor last December 16 will be attending another 'bersanding' ceremony in Brunei Darussalam on Saturday evening.
Thanks to organiser RY Abad 21 Production and facilitator Rusila - local theatre group Rumpun Seni Lakon Brunei Darussalam - the newly-weds will be able to meet their fans in the country on such a joyous event.
The couple will arrive at the Brunei International Airport at 5.30 pin on Friday. Rusila spokesperson Zolkifli Butir said all executive committee members of the theatre group are to assemble at My Niece Cafe in Serusop at 3.30 pm on Jan 19.
"At 5 pin, Rusila officials will head to the airport to facilitate the arrival of Aziz Sattar and his wife," Zolkifli said, adding that artistes and fans are welcome to greet the legendary star and his wife on their arrival.
After their arrival, the couple will be ushered to the residence of local drama producer Haji Abd Rahman Yusof of RY Abad 21 Production.
On the morning of Jan 20, the couple will be at Senjarasa Restaurant, Mile 1, Jalan Tutong for the `Experience Sharing Moment and Lunch.' Themed `Malam Orang Berbudi Kita Berbahasa,' the bersanding ceremony on Jan 20 will take place at the residence of Haji Abd Rahman Yusof at Simpang 81, Kampong Medewa in Jalan Tutong commencing 8 pin.
"Rusila officials are required to assemble at the house of Haji Abd Rahman Yusof at 2 pin on Jan 20 for a briefing session.
"They will need to be present at the event at 7 pm, an hour before the bersanding ceremony is due to commence," said Zolkfili.
He said the event is organised to thank the veteran film actor for his contribution to the local drama industry in the Sultanate and Malay film industry in general. Aziz Sattar was the first producer involved in directing the first private drama production for the national television, Radio Television Brunei in 1994. He directed various drama titles from 1994 to 1997 including Saksi Bisu, Capak Pahang and Tamu.
Artistes, friends and fans of Aziz Sattar are welcome to attend the bersanding ceremony. On January 21, the couple will embark on a city tour to Kuala Belait with the organiser, RY Abad 21 Production.
On the evening of the same day, the couple will be hosted to a banquet at the house of another local film producer Captain (Rtd) Momin Abas of Dasmin Studio Production at his residence in Kg Menglait, Gadong. The couple will return home to Kuala Lumpur on Jan 24.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin |
