Ranbir Kapoor to romance Aishwarya Rai in YRF film?
So far, we've heard a lot of rumours regarding actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback movie in Bollywood. But, nothing seems to be true as of now. On a similar note, we again hear a latest gossip about Ash doing a film along with Ranbir Kapoor.
According to a leading daily, Yash Raj Films is keen on casting Aishwarya Rai opposite Ranbir Kapoor, in one of their upcoming flicks. As per the reports, the movie is a romantic drama, that will feature Ranbir in the leads. And now, we hear that Aditya Chopra wants Mrs Rai Bachchan to star in the same, as Kapoor's love interest.
A source informed a leading daily that Ash has been looking forward to working with Aditya, provided dates and money issues are sorted out. A while ago, we heard that Aishwarya might do her comeback opposite to Shahrukh Khan, which later turned false. Well, we wish, this little piece of news turns out to be true and we get to see the Bachchan-Kapoor magic once again.
Did Aishwarya Rai say no to Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’?
Her comeback is highly anticipated! Yes, we are talking about the one and only Aishwarya Rai, who’s been on a sabbatical after giving birth to her first baby Aaradhya.
Aishwarya has made it clear that if right script comes her way, she is game for a comeback. But it seems that apart from the script, Ash is also picky about the role she plays in her comeback vehicle. Why else would she turn down Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year when the movie seems a perfect vehicle to relaunch her career?
The lead actress for Shahrukh Khan’s next Happy New Year to be directed by Farah Khan is not yet finalized! Last we heard, Aishwarya Rai was approached for the lead role in the film, which also has her husband Abhishek Bachchan among the cast.
Though Farah Khan is not willing to divulge any detail about her next, and has always said that they are looking for a young girl to be in the lead, insiders claim that the movie was offered to Ash.
“Yes, the film was offered to Aishwarya, and ideally she might have considered it, but the film also stars her hubby Abhishek Bachchan, and he isn’t paired opposite her. That was her reservation,” a source is quoted as saying.
Aishwarya reportedly believes that if she and hubby feature in a film, they should be paired opposite each other; otherwise the audience might reject the film. Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai as the lead pair have only given one hit and the movie was Guru (2007). Afterwards, they got paired for Raavan (2010), which was a big disaster at the box office.
Dhoom 2 (2006) was indeed a success, but in the movie Aishwarya was seen romancing Hrithik Roshan and not Abhishek. Conversely, with Shahrukh she has seen several hits. Their films Josh, Mohabbatein and Devdas -- all did wonders at the BO.
Aishwarya Rai recently rejected a biopic on Carnatic music legend M. S. Subbulakshmi. Apparently, for her the movie lacked elements of a Bollywood entertainer. Later, Vidya Balan accepted the role.
