The 44-year-old actress recently chatted about her upcoming film Ghostbusters!
“Oh my god, I cannot be more excited to reboot it. I mean, I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan – who isn’t? I’ve seen that movie, like, 50,000 times. I just introduced it to my two kids, who loved it,” Melissasaid.
“To get to work on such a great thing with that group of women is a dream…I’ve known Kristen [Wiig] forever, and I know Kate [McKinnon] and Leslie [Jones] from SNL, so it’s just going to be a blast.”
When asked if she thinks they’ll be able to add a fresh take to the film, Melissa said, “Absolutely. For sure. Yes because it’s a female cast, but also because is going to put a really modern, current twist on it. It will be scary and have good action. He pulls from the classics but he’s a very modern director. I truly believe they could not have picked a better director to launch that franchise.”

We got one! (they all shooting kat Boston)
Actually, we got two – and it's our first look at Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiigand Kate McKinnon in character, in costume, and on set of the newGhostbusters reboot.
In the first photo, we see McCarthy hauling what appears to be the new "Ghost Trap" (or possibly a large computer hard drive), and Kate McKinnon in paint-splattered overalls and a pair of steam punk shades, looking like she just got back from a long weekend at Burning Man.
Shooting a separate scene, we see Wiig dressed in a scholarly plaid skirt and matching blazer – an outfit vaguely reminiscent of the traumatized librarian in the opening scene of the first film.

Not bad! Even though Ghostbusters is still over a year away, McCarthy decided to try out the new digs and we couldn’t help but lose our minds!
Unfortunately, no Ghostbusters jumpsuit for Wiig quite yet -- but she does look to be rocking the gear that will actually be busting the ghosts -- the proton pack!
Feig gave fans a better look at the backpack-sized particle accelerator, tweeteing, "whatyougonnashoot."

Paul Feig has just announced a delightful new addition to his Ghostbustersreboot cast: Chris Hemsworth. And according to the director, Thor will take his baddie-busting heroics down a notch, to play a supporting part alongside the film’s quartet of leading females Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.
