Network Tutorial: Internet Connection Sharing Setup

Windows XP ICS Server
1. open the network and dial-up connections folder.
2. right click the internet connection that you want to share and select properties.
3. click advanced tab, then check allow other network users to connect through this internet connection. If you have more than one network adapter connected to local area networks, select the one to use for sharing internet connection.
4. click ok. If you local area network adapter already has an IP address assigned, winXP warns you that it will change it. Click yes to continue.
Windows XP ICS Client
1. start the Network Setup Wizard.
2. specify this computer connects to the internet through another computer, and click next.
3. if the computer has more than one network connection, this screen appears. Specify let me choose the connections to my network and click next.
4. select the connection to ICS server and click next.
5. enter computer description and computer name. the computer name must be unique on the network.
6. enter a workgroup name, which should be the same on all of the networked computers.
7. wizard will displays the settings that you抳e made. To change a setting, click back. To accept the settings, click next.
8. the wizard then configures the computer抯 network settings.
9. select just finish the wizard and click next.
10.click finish to exit.
ps: sapa boleh buat for windows 98/ME/2000? I takde machine running os tu kat sini.
