Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) will begin accepting bookings now for its new Santa Fe, which will be launched in Malaysia by the end of June this year.  

HSDM managing director Mr Lau Yit Mun said interested customers can now visit any authorised Hyundai dealers to place their orders to be among the first for early delivery of the vehicles.

With a starting selling price of approximately RM159,000 (excluding road tax and insurance premium), the new Santa Fe is touted to be a ‘Modern Premium’ car in every way, setting a new standard of luxury and comfort among other vehicles in its class. The new 7-seater Santa Fe is set to impress with its new design concept called “Storm Edge” which exudes a strong and dynamic image with exceptional finesse and superb detailing. The interior design is equally bold and modern, especially the dashboard and centre console with finishings that are comparable to those in a luxurious modern sedan.

“In addition to the use of high quality materials throughout the cabin, including the option of full leather upholstery, this new model also features a cutting-edge safety system ideal for families travelling with young occupants in the vehicle,” Mr Lau said.

The impressive package of safety features and systems includes Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) System, Electronic Stability Programme (EPS), Hillstart Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Brake Assist System (BAS).

The new Santa Fe will come in two variants namely Elegance and Executive for both the R 2.2 E-VGT diesel version and the Theta II 2.4 MPI petrol version.  Among the highlights of this new Santa Fe include Wide Panoramic Sunroof, HID Head Lamps, Safe Drive Recorder, Rain Sensor, the latest Flex Steer feature and Electric Parking Brake (EPB).  The full variant options will only be revealed during the launch.

The all-new Santa Fe will also be displayed at Hyundai roadshows in Gurney Plaza, Penang (June 13th – 16th), 1 Utama Shopping Mall, Klang Valley (June 19th-23rd) and KSL City Mall, Johor Bahru (June 21st-23rd). Further details of the roadshows will be available on www.hyundai.com.my.
