1. boot sector of the hard disk is damaged
2. bad sectors on  hard drive or damage file allocation table
3. read time of hard drive clusters less then 500ms
4. hard drive doesnt respond to system commands
5. 40% of HDD space is unreadable

If your new hard disk is not detected by or Disk Manager, it could be because of a driver issue, connection issue, or faulty BIOS settings. These can be fixed. Connection issues can be from a faulty USB port or a damaged cable. Incorrect BIOS settings may cause the new hard drive to be disabled.

• Right-click "This PC" (in Windows 10 File Explorer) and choose "Manage."
• Go to "Disk Management" and right-click your new hard disk. Choose the "Initialize Disk."
• In the dialog box, select the disk you wish to initialize and choose the MBR or GPT partition.
