Aku baru habis baca chapter 3 buku ni.....interesting, i'm sure those with VAT69 are familiar with them as they ever work together against the communist at the Thai border....
The name 'Thahan Phran' translate as 'hunter soldier'. It has become a multi purpose force for the Thai security planners. Even though they have been given incresingly important duties to perform, the quality of the recruits, coupled with poor training and leadership, have continued to create morale and displinary problem for the Army. Subsequently, the Thahan Phran has acquired reputations ranging from being an elite-screening force guarding borders to a bunch of armed thug in black uniforms.

Thahan Phran ni tak lah elite sangat, walaupun ada yang berani mati, tapi yang buat illegal activity pun ada jugak, malah sesetengah masaalah yang timbul pun disebabkan mereka jugak, samaada mencuri, rogol, rasuah dan lain lain lagi, everything is in these book.....training pun hanya 2 bulan, that is why they are not as elite as what others might think, bayangkan, average for most country around the world, nak pass basic comando training jer paling sikit 9 bulan. Mereka direkrut di kalangan penduduk yang miskin samaada di kawasan sempadan ataupun pendalaman, dan mereka yang rendah pelajaran nya, ada juga rekrut dikalangan penjenayah, gaji pun terlalu rendah, they are not the kind of soldiers that are bright or decipline unlike the rest of Thai regulars army (Good soldiers must be bright and with brain)....it's the kind of unit a country need that are cheap.

Alah, kira cam RELA lah, bezanya, dlm RELA ramai gak ex-Army & ex-PDRM pensioner yg gian nak merasa balik pakai uniform, pastu bg tunjuk ajar kat civvies yg nak merasa latihan ala2 kepolisan / ketenteraan yg tahap suam2 kuku. OK apa. |
