Synopsis (DramaWiki): Oh Tae Suk is a charismatic reporter who is the lead reporter for the society news division. Tae Suk is someone who never gives up until the truth is told. However, because of his personality, there are always conflicts within his team. During his training of the new junior reporters he discovered the potential of Kim Eun Hye and did not only become her mentor but also her love interest.


Synopsis 2 (Chicago Korean Drama Fan Club):"Spotlight" is a drama that shows the world of reporters and their passion towards reporting the truth, and the conflicts that arise from the reporting process.

JJH's character, "Oh Tae Suk", is a reporter (the team leader or "captain" of the 'society' division) who reports only the truth, and refuses to compromise with anyone if it stops him from doing this. But because of his uncompromising personality, he always creates conflict within his team. Also, as the team leader, he trains his junior reporters severely. He recognises the talent of "Kim Eun Hye" (Son Ye Jin), the female lead character, and becomes her mentor (and falls in love).

Contrary to previous characters that JJH acted (the gentleman image), he will be acting a charismatic role this time.

The drama is written by the writer of "The White Tower", a drama that was recognised very highly for realistically showing the world of doctors.

Because of "Spotlight", JJH will no longer be acting in "Cain and Abel". The contract period for this drama already finished in December. While SJS has re-contracted, JJH has decided not to act in the drama anymore.
