Aku ni pandai menyanyi..tak pandai main gitar..sapa2 boleh ajar aku main gitar..hehee

screamo? try change your influence to Yaphet Kotto, This Machine Kills or better still the more pioneer ones in the likes of The Indian Summer, KeepSake or Julia.

All the above mentioned aint no MTV bull# trendy emo rockers.

alah... tak perlu minta maaf. you can listen to anything you like. its just a suggestion that you start digging the roots of the genre you choose to play.

nothing wrong with all the rock bands you mentioned macam my chem, red jumpsuit, the used etc etc. theyr all good and decent rock bands.

for me the theory is simple. if you wannabe like my chem or the used, dont listen to my chem or the used but listen to what my chem or the used would have listened.

theres a lot of good rock bands that you should try and dig and i bet that these were the bands that my chem and the used listened and try to imitate during their eralier days.

i suggest you should try Black Flag, Circle Jerks, SS Decontrol, Rites of Spring, Bad Brains (recommended!), Husker Du, Dead Kennedys or any 80s US Hardcore band.

Dig the roots.

Perhaps the bands that u mentioned are underground and their material is hard to find.

I think maybe mrwannabe can try good legendary bands like The Rolling Stone, The Cure, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls or Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They are all awesome band.

for me.. i dont mind supportin any local bands as long as they champion their own originals.

ive been in a few bands myself during my "younger" days from crust punk to grindcore to emotional hardcore to nerd pop.. first time jamming terus main lagu sendiri pakat buat ramai ramai dengan gitar kapuk. its a good exercise to develop your creativity and innovativities.

nothing wrong with playing cover songs for the sake of musical satisfaction but from there, garner your own style and compose your own ish. for instance, banyak brutal death metal bands nowadays incorporated jazz in their music. How it was done i dunno but it sure works.
