KUALA LUMPUR: Local telecommunication companies have been told to set up a filter system to block out online pornography by next year. Science, Technology and Innovations Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis said the non-profit system should be available nationwide to consumers soon.

He said he was informed that 3G handphones could be used to access online pornography. He added that the newly-formed Malaysian Cyber Security Centre (MCSC) and local telcos have been directed to crack down on online pornography. Dr Jamaluddin said the centre was expected to step up efforts to track down those producing and downloading pornography .

揟he MCSC has the capability to track down those producing or downloading pornography.  揑t is just that we need to aggressively pursue this. Effective enforcement with the cooperation of parents, cyber cafes and traders is needed,

oh no kalau, blog, torrent etc excluding porn... tu dah melampau.. sedih laa kalau buat cam tu... kita bukan di negara komunis nak block situ sana sini...

Kalo diorang block porn. torrent pun sure kena jugak.. sebab both ada kaitan. Banyak fail2 porn available kat torrent.

Taktau la nak kata apa dah. 3rd world country pun tak buat macam tu

ermmm, speechless... kalau let say diaorang filter porn, torrent, blog, sites, IRC, IM, P2P networks etc...pun.. i'll be invisible with I2P  for browsing or VPN for torrent & P2P... mesti ada cara lain gaks untuk melepaskan diri... the other way is proxy... paling mudah untuk gained access untuk bypass filtering.

i'll vote takkan berjaya... ahaha, mesti ada local hacker p hack filtering server..since banyak site kena censored.. tak de keje nak buat...ehehe

Betul. I pun rasa macam tu.
Walau macam mana pun diorang block. pasti ada yang bleh bypass filtering tuh.. apalagi kalo block via web based. pakai proxy pun lepas

i dah try guna pakai, it functions like virtual router... which built other layer on top of your current internet connections.. currently still in alpha stage, azureus nak configure to work with it payah and memeningkan near 3 pages..but i ada chance laa untuk join some invisible tracker, site, group which we cannot see using normal net access. once ur login to I2P... ur being invisible on the net... since it uses end to end encryption..

if really nak by pass filtering better guna proxy or VPN...I2P masih belum bersedia untuk penggunaan umum..i ada dgr about freenet which widely use by underground net users,

Bukan ker teknologi tanpa batasan.. jadi adakan benda yg dibuat nie
melanggar etika apa yang dekorang cuba create satu masa dulu..
dimana mahukan rakyat celik IT.. bile dah celik dier suh pejam laks balik..
for me i assure that this things will have its own mistake and wont

aha.. i agree... alah news nie akan jadi cam news LKY dulu laa pada blogger.. tak nampak pun tindakkan, cam nak bagi nampak bahwa MCSC & MCMC tu buat keje..bukan tido..

daripada nak filter porn site, torrent etc, baik laa diaorang tumpukan pada phishing sites, fake sites...pop up, filter certain files yang ada virus from being downloaded, sites yang spread through yahoo yang boleh hacked the mail account, menyenangkan kita jugak...baru leh surf dengan aman dan selesa.

jangan take this seriously.. kekadang diaorang sajer jer tu... bukan senang nak built satu database with all the porn sites available on the net.. ahaks..
