Untuk permulaan kite cerita secara umum jer la, macam cara biasa nak ke bahagian ni dengan tempat2 utama. Untuk perincian nanti masing2 tanya la sebab Jepun ni ada banyak seasonal passes dan seasonal trains, untuk lebih terperinci memang kena tengok tarikh trip.


Ok, Jepun ada 47 prefectures dan Hokkaido adalah prefecture yang terbesar. Tohoku pula ada 6 prefectures.




Bandar2 utama di Hokkaido dan juga boleh dikatakan better not to miss places adalah Hakodate, Sapporo, Otaru dan Furano.



Selain tu, Niseko, Rusutsu dan Asahikawa pun merupakan tempat tumpuan pelancong.


Manakala Tohoku pula terkenal dengan kecantikan Sanriku Coast yang banyak feature dalam drama2 popular Jepun.



Tempat2 lain kat pelbagai prefectures pun byk yg menarik, nanti kite cerita lagi.

JR EAST PASS (Tohoku area)




Flexible five-day pass: you can use the pass on any five days within a 14-day period starting with the date of purchase or exchange in Japan. You do not have to determine your 5 travel dates at the time of purchase or exchange. For example, if you purchase your pass or get it by exchange on August 1, you can show the pass at a station on any five days between August 1 and August 14 and it will be stamped as valid for use on that day.

*1. The 3-Day, and 5-Day 7-Day pass allows you to choose the starting day, and can be used for either 3 or 5 or 7 consecutive days from the date of issuance.

*2. The date of use cannot be selected with the Flexible 4-Day Ticket. It is effective the day you either purchase or exchange it, that being day one, and continues to be effective for ten days in which it can be used any four days either consecutive or not.
EX: If you purchase or exchange a Flexible 4-Day ticket the 1st of July, it is effective until July 10th, and can be used any four days within the ten day period.

*3. The validity period of rail passes is based on the date of purchase/exchange.
Example: If a 3-day Hokkaido Rail Pass is purchased/exchanged on May 1 at 15:00, the pass will be valid until May 3.

Untuk option lain ke Hokkaido macam night trains ke apa, boleh tanya dalam benang ni berserta tarikh trip sebab night trains yg sebelum ni regular dah jadi seasonal trains sebagai persediaan untuk pembukaan shinkansen line ke Hokkaido. Ada juga option naik bas+train atau bas+feri. Nanti tanyalah kalau serius nak try.

Sapporo: Foliage of the ginkgo trees

Late October ~ beginning of November. There are impressive rows of ginkgo trees lining the Government Office of Hokkaido, Odori Park and Hokkaido University. In the University, there is a row of 70 trees lined up for 380 m and the area turns all yellow.

Selain daripada Furano, dua lagi tempat yg pemes dgn ski adalah Niseko dan Rusutsu.


Untuk yg hardcore punya boleh pegi Niseko (Niseko Grand Hirafu yg plg besar, senang pegi melalui Otaru).




Rusutsu lak mesra keluarga dan foreigner. Restoren makanan halal yang dapat sijil halal dari Malaysia Halal Corporation pun ada. Setengah orang ada yg contact & request untuk breakfast & lunch sekali. Ada free shuttle ke Rusutsu dari Sapporo.

City yang paling pemes kat Tohoku region adalah Sendai, terletak dalam Miyagi prefecture, merupakan home of Date Masamune.








Dari Sendai, boleh ke Matsushima.
For hundreds of years, Matsushima Bay has been celebrated as one of Japan's three most scenic views alongside Miyajima & Amanohashidate.








Selain tu, boleh pegi gak kat gorge yg cantik, Naruko Gorge.

Tohoku ni terkenal dengan coastline dia yang dipanggil Sanriku Coast, tapi coastline yg cantik ni yang menjadi mangsa tsunami 2011. Selepas tsunami, Sanriku Coast ni diberi keutamaan untuk pemulihan. Banyak lagi sistem pengangkutan yg kena baiki sepanjang Sanriku Coast ni, jadi kite akan pilih2 tempat yg senang nak pegi tapi still cantik.

4) Matsushima Bay pun sebahagian daripada Sanriku Coast, tapi kite skip penerangan sbb dah cerita kat previous post.
