Ana Barreiro: Brazilian Percussion is proudly presented by Splice's Signal Path label. Ana Barreiro, a Los Angeles-based drummer, composer, and music educator, possesses deep connections to Brazilian music and Jazz. Hailing from Poços de Caldas, a town in the Southeast region of Brazil, she has received guidance from some of the most influential music educators in Brazil and the United States. Currently, she imparts her knowledge at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Stanford Jazz Camp, and Jazz Camp West in California. Leveraging her extensive expertise, Barreiro has created Brazilian percussion loops and one-shots for Splice creators, allowing you to pay homage to her culture and infuse Brazilian flavor into your next production. Beyond her contributions, Barreiro co-leads the musical group "AmyAna" with pianist Amy K Bormet. She has also shared the stage with notable artists such as Catina deLuna, Lado B Brazilian Project, Otmaro Ruiz, Carol Bach-y-rita, Andrea Motis, Thalma de Freitas, and many others. Her performances include appearances at the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, Stanford Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Filoli Jazz Festival, Jazz at LACMA, and various other distinguished jazz festivals.
