Upcoming KBS2 drama Big Man had its script reading session and revealed the photos for the public.

Main cast participated in the session , they were Kang Ji Hwan, Lee Da Hee, Choi Daniel and Jung So Min. The supporting cast were also joined the script reading, they were Han Sang Jin, Uhm Hyo Sub, Cha Hwa Young, Song Ok Sook, Kwon Hee Hyo and Lee Dae Young.

PD Ji Young Soo and scriptwriter Choe Jin Won were also in attendance.

Big Man will center the story in Kang Ji Hwan who plays a poor orphan, raised uneducated in a very poor condition. He then becomes successful businessman and seek revenge against big chaebol, played by Chai Daniel. Jung So Min is the younger sister of the chaebol who loves Kang Ji Hwan.

And the most interesting part is Lee Da Hee who grabbed the leading lady position.

After played second leading lady in successful drama I Hear Your Voice and Secret Love, it’s a great news to see her stepped up as a leading lady. Congratulation !

Big Man airs April 14.

Big Man : press conference event


Kang Ji Hwan’s last drama was Incarnation Of Money a year ago, but his last KBS2′s drama was 6 years ago with highly successful drama Hong Gil Dong.

So, in his speech during Big Man‘s press conference event on April 28, the 37-year-old actor said that there’s nothing changed in him after Hong Gil Dong. He also expressed his feeling for Sewol tragedy and hoped that he could entertain viewers and be their energy.

He did working hard for his role, as he gained 4 kgs to perfectly portrayed a gangster . He also changed the tone of his voice and he will be going through four major characters transformation during the drama.


Kang Ji Hwan also said that he obsessed with the rating and hoped that Big Man would get  better rating than its predecessor The Full Sun which ended in very low rating 2.7%.

His hope came true, indeed. As Big Man received 6% rating in its first episode aired on April 28. It’s still a low rating but definitely there’s plenty room for improvement with the following episodes.

During the press conference, another leading man Choi Daniel also revealed a little secret.

We know that he always uses glasses and turned out he changed his glasses every time he was into a new acting project. But he said that it’s likely that people didn’t notice it. People do care that he wears glasses  but don’t focus too much on its design.

The 28-year-old actor also revealed that he really thought about what he can do to look like a real rich guy as this is the first time he played a chaebol. He honestly said that he was just like other people who sometimes got envious to the chaebols while all he could do just browsed luxury homes and dreamy cottages in the internet.

Ha ! He’s such a lovely guy, isn’t he ?

Kang Ji Hwan, Lee Da Hee and Jung So Min celebrated birthday on the filming set


Upcoming KBS2 Monday-Thursday drama Big Man is in full swing of filming ahead of its premiere in mid April.

The leading cast Kang Ji Hwan, Lee Da Hee, Choi Daniel and Jung So Min are in the shooting set everyday and 3 out of them just celebrated each of their birthday.

Lee Da Hee was the first when she celebrated her 28th  on March 15. She got gift from co-star Kang Ji Hwan, a doll and candy.

Jung So Min got a surprise birthday cake from her co-stars and drama team, lead by Kang Ji Hwan.

The last one is Kang Ji Hwan who celebrated his 34th on March 20.

Happy birthday to all of them , hopefully Big Man gets a great rating result next month.
