Orange Inspiration: Why the Netherlands Lives in Me, Even at a Distance

There are countries that once conquer your heart - and stay with you forever. The Netherlands for me is not just a point on the map. It is an inspiration that I take with me every day, every morning, every sip of coffee. It is color, style, philosophy and, most importantly, a sense of the right life. Without haste, without excessive seriousness, but with depth and light inside.

When color becomes mood

For some, orange is just a bright shade. For me, it has become a whole world. When I first came to the Netherlands, I immediately felt that this color is not just on flags and fan paraphernalia, it lives everywhere. It is in the air of holidays, in the smiles of passers-by, in the sunsets over the canals and, of course, in the atmosphere of King's Day itself. When I returned home, I decorated my corner in the Dutch style: posters with tulips, a painting by Van Gogh, a stack of Flow magazines and a lamp with warm yellow light. All this became my point of restoration, my personal Holland, where I can return at any time.

Balance between "doing" and "being"

What really struck me was the inner rhythm of life of the Dutch. They know how to work, they know how to achieve, but at the same time they value rest, time with themselves and with their family. There, no one will look at you with reproach if you just sit by the water with a cup of coffee. This is not procrastination - it is a way to live, to be, to feel.
This philosophy changed my approach to everyday life. I became more attentive to myself. I gave up the habit of living in an endless to-do list. I stopped chasing the illusion of "getting it all done." And, surprisingly, life became deeper. More precisely. Real.

Modernity woven into tradition

The Netherlands is an amazing place where traditional windmills and ultra-modern startups coexist. Where you can walk along a 17th-century cobblestone street and then find yourself in a tech coworking space the next minute. This is not a struggle between old and new - it is a harmony in which everything is organic.
Even industries that look aggressive in other countries fit into the cultural context in the Netherlands. For example, Online Casino Nederland are not just about gambling, they are part of digital freedom, with European restraint and care for the user. This is an illustration of how technology can be part of aesthetics, rather than disrupting it.

Little Dutch Rituals

I started to notice how I had adopted many “Dutch” habits in my daily life. A morning walk without a phone. Coffee not on the run, but at a table with a view of the sky. An evening with a book, not a TV series. A real conversation with a loved one, not “in the background”. Even the music has changed: now my playlist includes Eefje de Visser, Typhoon and good old Bløf.
And yes, I continue to learn Dutch. Not because I “have to,” but because I want to understand this culture more deeply, from the inside. It’s not just a language — it’s access to a special world where the main thing is not the verbs, but the meaning.

Living with a touch of orange

Sometimes people ask me: "So what, do you want to move?" And I smile. Because it's not about moving. It's about wearing your Holland inside. Being a little simpler, a little warmer, a little more attentive. Working with pleasure, relaxing without guilt. Surrounding yourself with things that make you happy. Talking honestly. Living - without rushing.
This is what orange inspiration means to me. It is not in a plane ticket. It is in awareness. In a mood. In choosing a little bit of Dutchness every day – and with it, going through life a little easier, a little more cheerfully and much freer.
