Although he was decent in 2019 (0.269, 12 home runs) and 2021 (0.280, 3 home runs, 30 RBI), he only hit 0.185 in 80 games in 2020, and barely exceeded .200 with a batting average of 0.201 last year. He had his worst performance this year with a batting average of 0.091 (4 hits in 44 at-bats).

Ultimately, after discussions with the club, Jaewon Lee left the team he had been with for 18 years.
