What diseases can CT detect? CT can be used for these 6 diseases

At present, various imaging examinations have become an indispensable auxiliary means for doctors to diagnose diseases. Among them, CT is a common one. It can understand the condition of organs by scanning the organ level. Therefore, many people will do CT when they feel unwell and want to confirm whether there is a substantial organ problem. They think that CT can be used for any disease, but it is not. Various imaging examinations have corresponding organs and diseases, ctscan and the following diseases are best examined by CT.

Which diseases are best examined by CT?

1. Intracranial lesions

For intracranial lesions such as craniocerebral trauma, cerebral infarction, brain tumors, and cerebral hemorrhage, brain CT examination is the most suitable and accurate. CT has a higher degree of visibility for scanning hard tissues in the brain, which can improve the accuracy of brain examination results, and brain CT allows doctors to directly see fractures, foreign bodies, and hematomas in the brain. Compared with other examination items, brain CT is more sensitive, and as a non-invasive examination, brain CT can clearly show the anatomy of different cross-sections of the brain and the structure of brain tissue.

2. Chest lesions

CT can scan the posterior cardiac area of the lungs and the bronchus to determine whether there are lesions in these areas. The size, shape, density, and contour of the lesions can also be determined through examination. Compared with ordinary X-ray examinations, CT scans are more sensitive to chest lesions and can confirm whether there are pleural effusions, lymph nodes, or tumor lesions.

3. Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases

CT is also widely used in the diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. With the continuous development of CT technology, the diagnostic accuracy of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases has been greatly improved. In particular, it can help patients obtain clear coronary artery images to determine whether there is coronary artery sclerosis or coronary heart disease.

4. Bone lesions

It is said that bone problems can be understood through X-ray scanning, but X-rays are difficult to show small lesions in bones and joints, especially some fragments of patients after fractures. Scanning CT can solve this problem. It can not only scan bones and joints with more complex structures, but also determine the displacement of bone fragments. Even plaster has no effect on CT scanning.

5. Pelvic organ lesions

If the bladder, appendix, intestine, prostate, uterus and other organs have lesions, they can be scanned by CT.

6. Liver lesions

In recent years, due to improper lifestyles, the probability of liver lesions has gradually increased. B-ultrasound can only give a general understanding of the liver condition, while the specific liver lesions can be clearly shown through CT scans. In addition, cirrhosis can also be diagnosed through CT. CT scanning has a high sensitivity for early diagnosis of cirrhosis, which can help doctors make judgments and take more appropriate measures for treatment.

It should be known that CT can show the above organ lesions or diseases in detail, but it should be noted that CT carries radiation and cannot be performed blindly and frequently. Don't be too stubborn when it is not necessary. Listening to the doctor is responsible for yourself.
