Fasting and Ramadan Purposes

Here is the post on Fasting and Ramadan Purposes offered by our travel agency to Book Umrah Packages all-inclusive. Discussing the aims of our acts is crucial because it allows us to discuss the actions in a genuine and in-depth manner. It is likely that if we do not understand why we do certain actions, we will miss the entire meaning of the activity itself.

Perhaps a fasting individual wins nothing from his fast but hunger and thirst, the Prophet stated of this thought. And perhaps a person who prays at night obtains nothing from their prayers other than staying up late. So, this is a person who does an action but receives no benefit from it. This is because if someone does an activity without knowing why they are performing it or what the goal is, the action may be rendered ineffective.

This is due to the fact that, as Imam al-Shib said, "actions without aims are like bodies without souls." So, in this post, we will go over some of the main goals of fasting during Ramadan.

1. Acquiring Taqwa
According to the Qur'an, this is the primary goal of fasting throughout Ramadan. " "Have you believed that fasting has been ordained upon you as it was ordained upon those before you, so that you may become righteous (Muttaqeen)," Allah SWT revealed. Fasting also teaches a person how to have Taqwa because while one is fasting, they are extra cautious about everything. They pay attention to what they say, what they look at, and everything they do.

As a result, the individual learns how to exercise restraint in their activities. This helps kids develop their Taqwa by making them more conscious of everything they do. Regarding the meaning of Taqwa, the explanation offered by Ab Huraira is the easiest method to grasp (R.A). Someone approached him and inquired, what is Taqwwa? Abu Huraira (R.A) then questioned the man whether he had ever walked along a winding road.
Yes, he said. What did you do? he inquired.  The man answered, whenever I saw thorns, I would avoid them or alter my clothing to keep them safe. That is Taqwa, according to Abu Hurairah.

2. Fasting is a Protective Measure
In an authentic hadith (narration), the Holy Prophet PBUH stated that "fasting is a protection." Even the word shield has a protective sense in Arabic, and this is one of the meanings of the word Taqwa. "O young!" exclaimed the Prophet. Let anybody among you can afford to be married get married. And those who cannot afford, they should fast since it would help them manage their impulses." Fasting provides protection that cannot be obtained just by lowering one's food intake.

Thus, it is the tangible and immaterial parts of fasting that help one in managing oneself. As a result, Imam al-Ann said, "It’s for a secret that God put in fasting, therefore simply lowering how much food you consume would not suffice."

3. Patience and fasting
Another thing we should learn throughout Ramadan is to be patient with the difficulties we experience in our everyday life. "Fasting the month of patience, and three days of every month is comparable to fasting the full year," the Prophet PBUH remarked in a hadith. The Holy Prophet PBUH refers to the month of Ramadan as the month of patience in this hadith, highlighting the need for patience throughout this month.
Fasting is often considered to be half of patience. This is because patience essentially consists of avoiding bad behaviors and continuing in good deeds.
