I nak tanya,bole ke orang yg ada slip dosc pegi ride moto?i dah pernah pegi krabi,kelantan,hatyai and sekitar kl selangor..atas moto ok best sangat layan the speed and corner..turun moto ke memang sakit tapi acceptable...sometimes i makan arcoxia or celebrex..sometimes ok ke kalau sekadar tampal koyok..
2nd q , apa simptom kalau kene slipped disc? I dulu start pegi mri sbb kaki belah kiri sakit berdenyut,pedih,panas dan kadang rasa menyucuk..tapi,adik i pun ada sakit kaki sama macam i tapi bila xray bukan slip dosc..so boleh tau apa tanda kita slip disc?tqvm doc.. |

sorry I takleh jawab awal..was sooo busy..i dah explain busy with what in other threads..
best treatment will depend on what levels, how bad was symptoms etc
kadang kadang nucleus pulposus tu kuar byk sgt, but it didn't touch any nerves or cord so you escape with just some pain
surgery is truly a last resort |

riding I am told memang ada slight effect on back but I wouldn't think that would cause prolapsed lumbar disc etc..it can aggravate already prolapsed one; if you jatuh from it ie RTA or MVA, then you might well have a major exacerbation
no we all tak larang naik motor
symptoms slipped disc bergantung pada ghow extensive the pulposus is out of the disc
if disc to bulge je, ok; if bulge and kene spinal nerve you will get pain and if the spinal nerves are for the legs, u will get sciatica..unpleasant
if disc tu crack je, ada some back pain, if extensive bleh dapat buttocks pain
if pulposus kuar and hit spinal cord, you can get a lot of pain and if it actually presses on the cord, you can be paretic in both legs or even become paralysed together with loss of bladder and rectal control; teruk gak; if your cord if in trouble like this ie cauda equine, kene operate within 6 hours;
dua tiga kali jugak I kene tolong bosse I buat emergency procedure nak safe org from paralysis sebab ni.. one tragic case was a woman yg bawak bakul laundry dia utk jemur kain and she sneezed while doing this and got sudden back pain and paresis in the legs..she didn't think too much about this and now ina wheelchair |

OK... ari ni ako terbaring jer pagi ni SBB tadi tgh nk membongkok amik barg... baru nak Bangkok tetiba ad bunyi crack... n my leg xleh nak gerak... a few minutes berdiri... nak pusing kiri kanan pon payah...now terbaring aje... tgh tunggu org dtg urut... pas tu baru gi klinik...
Ako nk Tanya r... a few days ack... ako mmg mcm ad masalah bile nak Bongkok amik barg.. nak rukuk time solar pon mcm payah...
Ad kemungkinan ker ako slipped disc?

askm ako_chan; other peopl can also provide answers here if they think its relevent, but here is mine.
firts and foremost, membongkok is really a no no. memang yous hould never do that; as a biped organism yg berjalan tegak, we are actually not well -equipped for this; Allah made us like this surely for a reason. You will almost never heard of a horse with a bad back etc.
you may well have pulled a back muscle..byk muscle kat back ni..erector spinae is one complex of such muscles; apa apa pon, if ada neurological symptoms, eg leg paresis ie weakness, then over here we would have done an MRI very quickly.
Our back is designed to be operated on straight up; so, if u nak amik something on the floor, bend yer knees down..

bleh gak, cuma, osteoarthritis is more of an Orhopaedic speciality while prolapsed lumbar or cervical discs are more of neurosurgical.
i tak de byk experience in orthopaedics.
apa question yg no. 20 nak tanya? maybe i can answer from my limited ortho experience (6 month in orthopaedic suregry masa muda in Birmingham) |

Another thing... ako dah GI klinik n doc give me injection n painkiller. Ako x gi urut. Takut makin tetuk...skrg dah boleh gerak2 skit. Tapi nk jalan lelaju mmg xleh. Bile jalan jer kat tulang punggung (ada ker tulang punggung) tu mcm menyucuk2... skit yg amat. Mmg ITU one of the side effect ker? N now ako still xleh duduk lagi. Meniarap mengiring OK dah. Cangkuk pon mcm perit jer |

tu maybe referred pain from the damaged disc; you can get buttocks pains sebab gluteal nerves can be impinged (google gluteal nerves)
coccygeal pain is different and is most likely traumatic in nature and is not relevant hear.
no: no chiropractor, tukang urut etc. google images of prolapsed disc and imagine the damage that can be done if u were given spinal manipulation.
please ask tukang urut if nucleus pulposus can be put back in..chances are dia tak tau pon apa benda ni.
I have taught anatomy in university and dah penah buat surgery for disc ni secara sendirian atau tolong my prof, so I do qualify to say a few things about this..so, jgn aggravate your bad back by getting "help" from people yg tak belajar about this |

Dr...I jog abt 4 miles everyday dan buat Pilates with dumbbell for 30 mins utk...kalau tak eveveryday pun min 4 days a week...cuma problem I ialah I sakit tapak kaki esp bahagian tumit belah dlm...bila jalan I sakit tp bila I lari tak sakit pulak...ada hubungkait dgn spinal cord kah...jugak pergelangan tangan I rasa lenguh esp bila I drive long distance....arthritis kah? joggers selalu gak dpt sakit kat tapak kaki ie heels tu; heel bone is called calcanuem; connected to front of foot by plantar fascia; kadang2 (common actually), tempat plantar fascia ni attached to the calcaneum ada spur sikit..kita panggil calcaneal spur; can cause pain bila lari; also plantar fascia tu bleh gak inflamed jadi plantar fasciitis; plantar fasciitis ada cara nak treat dia; ada physio movements rasanya for this; tgk la dalam youtube. I tak jumpa byk sgt cases camni cuma masa i jaga obesity clinic, ramai sgt pts complain pasal ni

If muscle pull klu doc BG injection plus painkiller DLM 2 3 ari dah baik kan? Klu muscle pull ada ke side effect mcm sengal2 kat bahagian punggung n kebawah? SBB doc (another klinik ako pegi... sbb klinik yg bagi ako injection tu tutup raya deepavali) yg check ako cakap muscle pull x akan effect kat tempat Lain...
After ako dpt injection.. N rest 3 ari... still xbrape nak baik... then i jumpa doc then she give me celebrex 200gm 5 bijik.. n doc ni wat small test.. ako baring n dia suruh angkat kaki..n ako baru realize that ako xleh angkat tinggi. Nak kata sakit time angkat kaki tu xde r Sgt... just mcm berat je nk angkat... Esok last day makan... now kat office still ad rasa ketidakselesaan kat area punggung n peha... pinggang pon iye juga.. tapi xteruk sgt sbb ako pakai waist band...
N this doc ckp... kemungkinan ako prolapsed disc tu iye... but dia treat me as a muscle pull sbb dia xsure lagi... so kena mkn ubat celebrex dulu...n she said that after finish my ubat still rasa sakit n x selesa... come to her to get a letter for mri.....
Ako just wonder... rasa ketidakselesaan pada tulang punggung smpi ke lutut itu mmg normal ker ape? Sbb biler driving lagi r sakit...

baik baik skit kang doctor tu cucuk tercucuk sciatic nerve u pulak hi hi.. no lah, im sure she wouldnt do that..
tu SLR (straight leg raise test); nak tgk sciatic nerve you to stretched ke tak; tu je maksud test tu.
Yep, MRI the way to go
sama je term tu; I was trained to use prolapsed disc sbb that is what actually happened ie the nucleus pulposus memang extruded out of the fibrosus.

OK... ako dah GI klinik for the fourth time.
N is still hurt. Especially when I'm sitting infron of computer for long hours... its totally hurt
But what can I do... keje kan... ngadap AutoCAD mmg kena sit lama. But sometimes ako bagun berdiri... tapi xbest r nak buat keje berdiri.
So now ako tunggu 18/11 for appointment dgn Dr kat hospital putrajaya. Nk GI private ako dash call insurance. Selagi xde pengesahan Dr doc insurance xkan cover. So ako pikir GI gomen dulu mcm mn... then br decide. SBB company ako cikai xde panel.. makanya kena bersabar r dulu buat sementara...smpi r 18/11 |

Salam dr..sy nk tya apa mksd result mri ni..at L4/L5 diffuse disc bulge seen indenting the thecal sac anteriorly.however neural foramina with its exiting nerve roots are preserved.at L5/S1 diffuse disc bulge seen indenting the thecal sac and narrowing the neural foramina bilaterally.the exiting nerve roots preserved.however there is evidence of impingement to the left traversing nerve roots at this level.no associated spinal canal stenosis.mohon dr bagi pncerahan.tq dr. salam...nak tanya jgk..sy baru jer discharged wad smlm.. result mri part L4/L5..disc mmg ada keluar and tekan saraf..then another part ada darah beku.. now kes sy kena transfer ker hukm tuk jumpa pakar tulang belakang..soalan..
klu hadapi masalah mcmni perlu ker operation?
bagaimana darah beku tu nak baik?if operation still sakit lagi ker?
ada cara lain tuk abik ker?klu berurut mcmane?? pls help!..risau sbb sakit ni menganggu kerja.. |

my mum ad slipped disc kat c3-c5 if not mistaken. doc kata kalo operate 50-50. boleh paralyze sbb dkat ngn saraf tunjang katanya. now dh 5 tahun doc presribed morphine utk kurgkan rasa sakit. |
