EMPLOYEE BULLETIN Voluntary Separation Scheme –VSS
WD has performed exceptionally well the last several years as we benefited from favorable market conditions, strong demand for our products, and our ability to execute our business better than the competition.
However, WD lost market segment share as a result of the flood, and market demand has not rebounded to exceed pre-flood levels as we had hoped. We believe demand softened due to several broad market trends such as the soft macro-economic environment, the growing use of tablets and smartphones and a modest expectation of the initial acceptance of Windows 8 and Ultrabooks that moderated anticipated HDD industry growth rate to up to 5 percent in the year ahead. Hence the need, after 9 months of closely monitoring our markets, to size our manufacturing support resources to our best estimate of requirements for the coming quarters.
To that end, the company is initiating a “Voluntary Separation Scheme” or “VSS”. All Salaried-Exempt (SE) and Non-Exempt (NE) employees are eligible to apply. Severance package details will be communicated separately. VSS applications will be accepted by the Human Resources department through the end of business on August 7 th . Approval is contingent upon business group authorization.
Application Process and Conditions
1. Salaried-Exempt (SE) and Non-Exempt (NE) employees are eligible. Direct Labor employees (e.g. production operators, Office DL) are not eligible at this time. 2. Employees may submit an application to Human Resources from now until 5pm on August 7 th . 3. Employees will be notified of their application result on or before August 10 th . 4. On August 15 th , successful VSS applicants will complete necessary documentation to finalize the voluntary termination process. 5. Employees accepting voluntary separation may reapply for employment with WD or its subsidiaries at any time following their severance. There is no waiting period to reapply for employment; however, service years will not be bridged where employees had received severance pay.

hard disk WD ni kalu dah rosak, bukak disk kat dalam tuh boleh wat cermin. clear giler. buleh la nk showoff sket time nk make up..

perkara biasa dalam company superinternational... exercise untuk hire org baru dengan harga more cheaper berbanding yg ada sekarang..... DELL, HP, Intel dah lama buat benda yg sama... |
