June 6): Malaysia won a legal battle in France that will likely cancel an award of about US$15 billion (RM69 billion) over territorial claims related to the present day Borneo state of Sabah.
The Paris court of appeals ruled Tuesday (June 6) that the arbitration court that ordered Malaysia to make the payment to the so-called heirs of Sulu, the erstwhile rulers of the region, didn’t have jurisdiction in the case.
The dispute is linked to the Sulu heirs’ years-long claims to the state of Sabah. The then-sultanate had leased Sabah to a British company in 1878 and the Borneo state was later absorbed into Malaysia. The Sulu sultanate ruled the islands in the Sulu Archipelago, which are part of Mindanao in today’s Philippines.
A French Arbitration Court in Paris last year ordered Malaysia to pay the Sulu descendants over their claim. The government filed an application to cancel the award in Paris, while a Luxembourg court set aside the legal action payment, Malaysia said in January.
In March, a court in Paris upheld a stay order obtained by Malaysia on enforcement of the award

So Malaysia dah boleh ambik tindakan mahkamah ke atas Sulu? Pls grow a spine, jgn lepaskan pengganas2 tu terlepas mcm tu jah. Sekurang2nya dptkan keadilan utk keluarga anggota2 polis yg mati dibunuh. Katanya 'keturunan' sultan sulu kaki claim dan scammer tu ada ketua, dia jugak mastermind serangan Lahad Datu. Ekstradisikan ke Malaysia dan jatuhkan hukuman mati. Jadikan pengajaran utk mana2 pihak yg berangan nak menghancurkan tanah air yg terchenta inihh. |

kalo menteri PN gaji buta dulu masih menteri, silap haribulan Msia dah kena bayar 60bilion kat sulu, or even worse Sabah dapat ke Sulu |

Hmm, mcm kes kedah penang saja. Kedah pajak penang kpd inggeris. Then penang masuk malaysia. |

Dengan keputusan kes ini yang memihak kepada malaysia, membuktikan keputusan najib memberhentikan pembayaran itu adalah tindakan yang wajar dan tepat
Takkan la nak tetap bayar duit perlindungan dekat pengganas yang dah sah2 bunuh tentera dan polis kita
Tapi zaman PH 22 bulan buat benda pelik.. siap minta maaf.. bloody weird sungguh |
