Formula win-win kata Rafizi: Government will soon allow public to apply for small budgets to fix potholes, clogged drains

If you ever wanted to fix a pothole by yourself but you’re not willing to spend your own money to do so, the government will soon be able to help with funding. According to a report by Malaysiakini, the economic affairs ministry plans to introduce a new system that allows the public to apply for allocations for small projects.
Economic affairs minister Rafizi Ramli said the system will help speed up the process of dealing with issues such as fixing clogged drains or potholes on the road. “The federal government is making changes to democratise small allocations for the rakyat. All this time, as the elected representative, I had to do all sorts of things like fixing drains and so on,” Rafizi said.
“We are planning so that after this, allocations for rakyat projects can be applied for directly to the ministry by anyone and there is no need to go through all the layers (of bureaucracy),” he added.
Set to be launched sometime in mid to late June, anyone from members of the public to district offices as well as state departments can directly ask the ministry for allocations through the upcoming system. Rafizi pointed out that there is currently too much red tape when it comes to approving allocations, which could take up to three years.
“This (new system) is considered a win-win for all. We open up equal opportunities to all states and to all people (to apply for allocations),” he said, adding the certain conditions must be met before allocations are handed out.

oklah sikit kot. di kelantan dulu nak buat jalan raya, rakyat diminta derma duit, batu, alatan tapi pokok balak PAS/kerajaan negeri amik. |

I rasa kos (bawa peralatan/pekerja) lebih mahal dari kos bahan/membaiki. so klu ada yg minta dan boleh baiki sendiri mungkin jimatkan kos pengangkutan.

tugas maintenance adalah tanggungjawab kerajaan...duit cukai dah ada, cuma kakitangan awam ni malas

aku letak tepi isu malas. kira begini mungkin akan datang maintenance dari agensi/jabatan Gomen utk kerja begini akan dibuat hanya dalam lingkungan tertentu yg depat dgn stor. nak kurangkan kos dan masa melaksanakan. bagi aku idea nie mungkin ada baiknya sbb penduduk setempat lebih mudah bertindak dekat kawasan masing2 klu ada masalah jalan raya berlubang.

kalau minta rakyat buat, tiada lagi keperluan kakitangan awam dlm agensi terbabit, dan kerajaan wajib buang mereka kerana tiada keperluan lagi...
adakah kerajaan berani buang kakitangan awam?
as i said before, rakyat membayar cukai, duit cukai adalah utk maintenance...jadi adalah tugas kerajaan utk maintain, bukan tanggungjawab rakyat

satgi ada yang pi sabotaj jalan/parit nanti bagi berlubang/tersumbat. Lepas tu repair dan boleh claim.. |

Baguslah blh apply direct. Rakyat bukan semua oku yg xblh mainkan peranan utk buat kebaikan.
Ikutkan utk kos maintanance yg besar tu mmg perlu involve byk peringkat dlm gomen, ambil masa lama. Kalau kos maintanance kecik² eloklah guna tabung amanah, cepat proses, xkira rakyat @ staff jkr blh apply. Ini nk baiki pithole pun tunggu bertahun smpai jadi besar kerosakannya jadi lebih teruk, excident, kos baiki pun meningkat.

Malah tambah masalah pulak nanyi
Sape yang layak baiki ni? Kualitinya kelak camne
Nanti berebut rebut pulak nak baiki
Pastu claim berapa lama boleh dapat? Proses camne
