The Walking Dead is an American television series developed for television by Frank Darabont and based upon the comic book series of the same name created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore.[2] It premiered on the AMC network on October 31, 2010 with a 90-minute premiere episode, during the network's "Fearfest".
Plot
The Walking Dead tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and follows a small group of survivors traveling across the United States in search of a new home away from the hordes of zombies. The group is led by Rick Grimes, who was a police officer in the old world. As their situation grows more and more grim, the group's desperation to survive pushes them to do almost anything to stay alive.

On August 31, 2010, Darabont reported that The Walking Dead had been picked up for a second season, with production to begin in February 2011. However, AMC wants "to dispel the rumor that The Walking Dead has been renewed for Season 2, as that is not the case yet." In addition to the rumor, according to producer Gale Anne Hurd, all future seasons will be thirteen episodes long. Darabont, who wrote and directed the pilot, spoke of his plans to introduce fan favorite Michonne early on in the second season's run. He would also like to include some of the "environmental elements" that take place during Volume 2 of Kirkman's book.
****aku mmg minat sgt citer2 zombie theme ni.. so far tak pernah ada yg buat tv series kecuali kat britain (tak ingat tajuk dia tapi ada 'dead' kat belakang  ).. itupun buat hanya 6 episod shj... rumours kata nak pick up 2nd season dan seterusnya tapi setiap season sampai 13 episode.. mcm citer true blood, dexter yg eksklusif gitu.. yg bestnyer sesaper yg ingat watak Sarah kat Prison Break, dia ada dlm citer ni.. so, enjoy...!****
***kalau tak silap season 1 dia buat 6 episode dulu.. pastu mcm biasa kat US ada season breaknya..***
