Single girder overhead crane is one kind lifting tools used in the warehouse and it contains the main girder, end carriages, electric hoist and electrics.Firstly we shall put one side rail in the center of bearing beam, and then fix it by the welding bolts and platen. After that, we shall ruler the distance and fix the other side rail in the proper position. See the below picture:

Overhead crane installation second process----Connect the main girder

40GP container inside length is 11.8m,so in order to put the main girder into the 40GP container, we will produce the main girder into two pieces, one is 11 meters and one is 9 meters, see the below picture.

Firstly, we put the 11 meters length girder and 9 meters girder into the open area, then use the forklift to ship two pieces together. During this process, we shall look at the two pieces girders bolts holes, then fix the girders by our supplied high strength bolts, see the picture:

Overhead crane installation third process----Connect the main girder and end carriages together

We ship the two pieces end carriages besides the main girder. With the help of forklift, we should fix one side end carriage to main girder. Meanwhile, we should fix the electrics box and connect the cables. Then we fix the motors, travel limit switch and other small parts, see the below picture:

Overhead crane installation fourth process----Fix the electric hoist

As for the hoist, we shall send the separately electric hoist and traveling trolley. During the installations, we shall fix the traveling trolley and hoist together firstly, see the below picture:

We shall use mobile crane to lift the overhead crane bridge frame around 1 meter up from the ground. Then with the help of workers, we shall fix the electric hoist on crane main girder.

Overhead crane installation sixth process-----Lifting the overhead crane on the rail

As we know, the overhead crane will installed inside the warehouse. Most clients don’t have working height for the mobile crane, so we will remind the client to remain some roof uncovered.With the help of mobile crane, we will lift the overhead crane up and make it near to one side of the rail, then put it down softly; and then find the right position and put the other side down.

We should correctly confirm which side is the power supply side, then fix the bus bar and current collector well.

We shall connect the cables/ electrics according to our supplied electrics drawings.

We shall turn on the power to see whether the overhead crane is connected by the power. If not, we shall double check the connections. If yes, we will continue the next process.

For the overhead crane commissioning, we usually check the two points. First one is to see the electric hoist lifting & traveling and crane traveling, check whether they can work proper or not; Second one is static load testing, for this one, we will test the 1.25 times, 6 tons lifting. The correct performance is crane can lift 6 tons one meter from ground. Third one is dynamic testing, for this one, we shall test the 1.1 times, 5.5 tons. We shall lift the 5.5tons cargo and see the crane traveling.
