JK's Digest No. 17 of August 2008 (463 of 2008) Police Report to be lodged on SAS

Some pressing questions need to be answered to clear the doubt on the RM200m for 800m units in Saham Amanah Sabah (SAS). Some hanky panky could have occurred in that process of trying to revive the status of SAS. The intention is questioned commercially.

We do not have details of the latest deals and we will never get them unless the insiders would expose the modus operandi of the deal.

The offer of 25 cents for the 800 million (such a big number) units looks too good commercially. How was this actually done within the system need to be exposed as there are no meeting of the unitholders in any General Meeting unlike public listed companies.

The timing of the deal at the time of Permatang Pauh by election is the catch here.
It may look legally done now that it had been passed through the Legislative Assembly without a debate because nobody had been given any chance to study that proposal.

Since SAS had sort of lost some RM300-400m in its value from RM1 to something 20 cents without any other consequences of the naked frauds dressed up in all the excuses of the 1997's Asian financial crisis, the ordinary people of Sabah would be hoodwinked for more by such same people in mismanagement with impunity. 1997's Asian Financial Crisis had come earlier otherwise the worst in more losses could have occurred. Sabah had also lost its sole Sabah Bank worth a billion Ringgit and more without shedding any tear.

Any one with more information on the latest expansion of unit trust, should send it to me to P. O. Box 11923, 88821 Kota Kinabalu.

Should the SAS is now to be closed down, a proper audit much be done on that deal and the report made public.
