JK's Digest No. 11 of August 2007 (236 of 2007) How do we want to celebrate 50/44 years Merdeka?

For the whole 2007, it is a year of celebrations possibly extended to August 2008.

All those celebrations would take a lot of effort and very costly as well.

50 years in term of any human age would mean at the end of the last lap fully matured and possibly enjoy retirement for some.

When we talk of national celebrations of a nationhood, it is the exhibition of patriotism via the symbol of the national anthem and the nation flag.

Maybe the national anthem was sort of 'injured' with a video clip titled "Negarakuku" of a talented young boy who had secured contracts with some music recording companies. Be it for the good or bad reasons, there has been massive global exposure of Malaysia like what the Deputy Prime Minister calls Glocal. That kind of impact is hard to come by with a six minute video of rapping. Since Wee Meng Chee has apologised for a sort of misadventure, Malaysia has to be magnanimous over a matter which maybe sort of sensitive. There are some listeners or viewers who have cried over the message. Whatever that maybe, it is still a wake up call as a reflection of society albeit a bit late. We need to ask M C Wee why it is done in 2007? Maybe it is an inspiration for celebrations for change but now much perspiration has ensued.

We also learned that it would cost the nation in the maintenance/repairs of the assets to the tune of RM7 billions as an indication of the aging of some properties in 50 years.

Have you notice if you look closely to admire the national and various state flags as hoisted to celebrate the Merdeka, you would see those folded lines on those flags. Those new glossy colourful flags of very thin materials possibly imported ones had been folded and nobody takes the effort to iron them before exhibiting them indoor. When fine clothes are creased, we would likened them to be like the skin or face of the not so young people possibly also 50 and there about. To borrow the meaning of the Works Minister over the "leaking parliament house", he was referring to the women of 50 and more. Why should we refer that to the fair gender?

Instead of the lines of aging, I would like to draw some indication of the aging of the society in Malaysia generally as the flags with folded lines would denote the social ills and other related dilemma of the society after 50/44 years in Merdeka. We are also aware that life in 2007 is not to be same as in 1957 (Malaya) and 1963 (Sabah) when it was less populated and peaceful. We also know that we do not have a level playing field in Malaysia even after 50/44 years. As the imported items need to be folded, it would be a lot of work to iron the volume of flags. Is it not a better idea if the flags are delivered naturally flat? So Malaysia has introduced some measures bias to some groups as in violation of the natural justice. The fragility of a distorted system is hard to be 'smoothened'.

Meanwhile what ever that had been done for the safety on the roads is not bearing fruit due to the rotten system of 50 years.

[[On Tuesday in the LIVE TV2's programme of FAST Forward titled "Crimes Prevention", there were at least two callers who refer to the illegals to give rise to increasing trend of crimes, and yet none of the panelists made any reference in their comments.]]

I hope to deliver a paper on "Tsunami of Illegal & Illegalities- An Introduction" at the UiTM in conjunction with 50 years of Celebration.

bus of death

JK's Digest No. 16  of August 2007 (241 of 2007)  Re-hash = 'Bus of Death'.

If someone 'Namewee" or "Numb We" re-hashed the Negaraku or Negarakuku borrowed (not pliagarised) from Terang Bulan or another original version of  Mamoola Moon, can go wrong on a legal point while the earlier versions do not offend the copyrights concerned then, it is alright for me to draw some strange similarities in this latest tragedy  - no offence to copyrights but spiritually who can say I offend anyone in this timely message?

If Negaraku was copied from the Indonesian Terang Bulan, which in turn was copied from Mamula Moon, sang by Felix Mendelssohn and his Hawaiian Serenaders, what is this Negarakuku from?

So please read the "Bus of Death" (below).  Why "Bus of Death" as coined by Star?  Why not "Cabinet of Deaths" when the bus as a cabin or cabinet (small one lah) was broken into two?  Any way for the nation of 50/44 years, we have a Bus for leaders NOT bus of leaders, but this bus is likely to crash or already crashed in the 50th year.  This leader (bus driver) was aged 37 years.  When did our present leader joined UMNO?

How big is our Cabinet?  29 or 30?   I need to check that out but it is easier to ask here.

This bus crashed at 4.40 a.m. (so exact as that) when it is 44 years from 1963 with 29 persons in it.  It had happened on 13th August, 2007 and the driver had 13 outstanding summons plus 2 arrest warrants.  Malaysia started with two portions - Peninsula and Borneo and sort of 13 States after Singapore left in 1965. The assistant driver survived the crash.  Malaysia started with two Prime Ministers.  Malacca has some sentimental value to me as it is part of Malaysia and ACCA, both I have sad links.  Alor Star too had brought some bad nightmare to Sabah via Syed Kecik.   A terrible journey of sort for Sabah.  The 'bus of death' lost control and it is likely our cabinet has lost control of Sabah with 1-2 millions fake citizens in Sabah.  13 has been a number always avoided while we have the 13th Chief Minister when UMNO is in the 13th year of 'reigning' in Sabah since the power grab in 1994.  13 is also a popular symbol for Sabah when changes of State Governments took place in 1967 (13), 76, 85, 94 when N13 Likas (now N14) was instrumental in confirming phantom voters and abuses of power.  Each previous State Governments (other than UMNO) crashed in the 9th years and this bus crashed at 229th kilometer.

I leave it to you to draw a rapping lyric for this tragedy (don't play fun with tragedy) as we have seen how the cabinet had come up with proposals that would not work as long as corruption is rampant.
For Sabahans, may this be our chance to get prepared for the eventuality soon, an early warning sign.

'Bus of Death' claims 21st victim with death of 3yr-old
TAIPING: Monday's bus crash at Bukit Gantang near here claimed its 21st victim when three-year-old Abdul Karim Abu Bakar died this morning at Taiping Hospital.
The Super Express bus started its journey from Malacca at 10.30pm on Sunday and was headed towards Alor Star.
At 4.40am on Monday, driver Rohizan Abu Bakar, 37, lost control of the bus as it was going down an incline and it crashed into a ditch at the 229th kilometre of the North-South Expressway in Bukit Berapit, Bukit Gantang, instantly killing 19 of his passengers as well as himself.
The ageing bus practically tore into two when it fell into the ravine. The roof was ripped off from the vehicle leaving those in the bus without any protection.
The incident has sparked an uproar, with the Government looking to now tighten rules and regulation governing express buses.
It also emerged that the driver had 13 outstanding summonses and two arrest warrants issued against him

we can celebrate with new system

JK's Digest No. 17  of August 2007 (242 of 2007) Who resign?

Is it easier to resign or change the system after 50/44 years?

Yes, CASH President Datuk Patrick Sindu has felt the Sam Mannam should resign as Director
of Forests following the latest denial of illegal logging in Keningau after the successful intervention
of the Anti Corruption Agency only at the road sites.  Why wasn't the illegal logging stop at the forests?  Why should only Sam resign?  What about the illegal Chief Minister?  What about the Director of Land & Survey - Osman Jamal whose identity cards is questioned?  What about the Chairman of Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn. Bhd Datuk Dr. Patawari whose identity card is also a suspect?

The list can go on and what about the Director of Sabah Foundation who allows the concessions areas to be logged illegally?

Over the years CASH's President has been calling for resignation for every major offence?  What about the Director of National Registration Department?  What about the Director of Immigration Department?  What about the Road Transport Department?  What about the Commissioner of Police?

What about the Director of ACA?  What about the Director of the Water Department?  What about Agriculture Director for polluted foods?

Is it better for piecemeal resignation or total change of the system?  Who is behind all those rot in the system?  Scapegoats are easily found if the system does not function with justice.

Now the national and State flags are corrupted and who resign?  Only Namewee @ Wee Meng Chee face the hard music for Negarakuku?

I had a case when the culprits (powerful people once) of about RM5 millions got away and the clerk (no proper records maintained) went into the jail for a few years and all is forgotten.   This happened in the early 1970s.  These two culprits are still in the system.

04/09: Malaysia抯 rulers openly confront their premier

http://malaysia-today.net/blog2006/index.php?itemid=7821

Broadside Malaysia

A confrontation between Malaysia抯 nine hereditary rulers and their Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is now in the open: Raja Nazrin: Monarchy an integral part of nation

The Star today carried a Bernama report which says:

He (Raja Nazrin) said the Federal Constitution mandates the monarchy to be the guardian of the just rule of law, an impartial arbiter in the democratic process and an overseer of the pillars of state. 揝ome believe that Rulers are supposed to do so in a purely ceremonial sense, but I would argue that this contradicts the true spirit, if not the letter, of the Federal Constitution,

TII

JK's Digest No. 4  of September 2007 (251 of 2007)  Tsunami of Illegals & Illegalities (TII)

Joshua Kong delivered the title "An Introduction of TSUNAMI of Illegals & Illegalities in Sabah" on the 4th September at the UiTM's 50 years celebration.  When I left the premises of the seminar at Complex Tabung Haji (my first journey there so akin to biblical Jericho for Joshua) in the evening the M'sian flag at the Petronas tower, KK was 'clapping for me'.  Incredible vibration as in a tsunami.

I had also written a book published on 3rd September, on the same title but only managed to deliver 5 copies to the Special Branch at the Karamunsing Police Station as a requirement this morning at about 11 a.m. on 12th September.  I have been to that place for a few times but this time it is so symbolic special that a burst water pipe in front on the main road was causing the water flowing into the Police Station.  This is like a tsunami as who would have written a book with that title.
Then at 6.10 p.m. on 12th September, an earthquake with 7.9/8.2 at the Sumatra island  with a tsunami alert likely to cause a Tsunami around the Indian Ocean.
So keep on praying for Sabah to be FREE from new type of colonialism or federalism when the ILLEGAL GOVERNMENTS and illegal people are dictating terms on the genuine local people.

Stop the TII for God's sake..

fax tsunami

JK's Digest No. 5  of September 2007 (252 of 2007) Fax Tsunami for an event

Is this happening to me only due to auto despatch by computer?
I was supposed to receive 4 pages by fax including the head page but I only received by fax (paper run out)  3 pages - 4 sheets of cover, 13 sheets of page 2, and nothing on page 3 & 4 as the paper runs out after several wee hours morning calls. Finally, the paper roller was in a two pieces when I had used fax more than twenty years and all the paper rollers had been in single piece.

Would this be repeated for pages 3 & 4 if I switch on the fax machine with new rolls of papers?

I do not intend to attend this function. Should I be given a complimentary/ half price if my presence is needed due to the repitition of pages or sheets?

Grand Malaysia Day celebrations in Sabah and Sarawak

KOTA KINABALU: The people of Sabah and Sarawak celebrated Malaysia Day in grand fashion Sunday.

In Sabah, celebrations that marked the formation of Malaysia in 1963 were most significant in a village on the foothills of Mount Kinabalu where people had defied a ban on growing rubber trees and broke the British monopoly of the crop.

Shouts of 'Malaysia' and 'Merdeka' echoed loudly at Kampung Malangang in Kiulu about 60km from here, where people gathered in a carnival-like atmosphere to celebrate Malaysia Day. The Tuaran leaders picked Kiulu as the venue of the celebrations as it was the district where the people had defied the British to plant rubber trees to break the British monopoly of the crop.

揟he British wanted our people to be their coolies at the Komonsi Estate and ordered the arrest of anyone planting rubber trees outside the estate,
