From the creative team of the hugely popular TV series The Outsiders comes another captivating drama titled White Romance, which focuses on the competition and friendship between two medical doctors. Taiwanese heartthrob Dylan Kuo, male lead of The Outsiders, finally returns to television after making the movies Embracing Your Shadow and Black with Hong Kong directors. Dylan Kuo plays a medical student named Shau. His best friend in medical school Fan (Zhang Xun Jie) is a childhood friend of Lin (Ady An), the daughter of their professor. Lin and Shau soon fall in love with each other but, right before their wedding, Lin is diagnosed with an unknown brain disease. Fan decides to remove the mutated tissues from her brain and let Lin remain in coma until later technology can completely cure her. This idea is met with opposition from everyone in the medical school, including Lin's father and even Shau. Fan gets expelled from the medical school because of this unapproved operation, and he exiles himself for seven years before returning to Taiwan...
