Kim Nam Gil Suffers Minor Injury While Filming “The Fiery Priest”
Actor Kim Nam Gil has been revealed to have suffered a minor injury on the set of his new drama “The Fiery Priest.”
On February 26, Kim Nam Gil’s agency C-JeS Entertainment confirmed that the actor had suffered a wrist fracture during filming.
A representative of the agency explained, “Because there are a lot of action scenes in SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest,’ even after carefully blocking [the scenes] to be as safe as possible, there are many variables at play. Therefore, [Kim Nam Gil] ended up suffering an injury.”
C-JeS Entertainment also provided an update on the actor’s condition, stating, “Due to his wrist fracture, wearing a cast was unavoidable, and he received treatment yesterday [February 25].”
The agency representative added, “We will do our utmost to ensure that his injury does not affect filming, and the actor himself is extremely determined to return to filming. In response to viewers’ concerns, we will take great care [to prevent] further injuries on set, and we will make an effort to ensure [Kim Nam Gil’s] recovery.”
“The Fiery Priest” is a unique new mystery-comedy about a hot-tempered Catholic priest and a bumbling detective who join forces to solve a murder. The drama, which has recently been enjoying a surge in its viewership ratings, airs on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. KST.
