Arashi attended a morning TV news program MEZAMASHI TV and were interviewed about their new year special plan on Jan.7th.
They were asked "How did you spend your new year?" The leader Ohno answered: "I went to my parents' house on Jan.2th and had a bingo party with my family. There were four family members and one people from my father's company." Other Arashi members pointed out that 'the people from Ohno's father's company' always appeared on their family gathering, "Isn't that person always there?" "Don't always mention him." "Are you playing bowling with that guy?" "He came to the annual party, didn't he?" questioned by other members.
On the other hand, Aiba had a "sad" episode in the new year:"I went abroad. And I was well-prepared and imagined that I would be asked by journalists 'Where is Mr.Aiba going?' However, no one came. I felt a little bit lonely, so I made two of my friends asked questions to me (as the journalists)."
As to the other members, Ninomiya rearranged his receipts at home, while Sakurai went to parents' at the countryside and Matsumoto took a domestic trip. They seemed enjoy the new year quite much!

"Currently there is an "Arashi International Fans Map Project" organised by pamujung.
For those that aren't aware of the project, the idea is to create a world map with heart-shaped stickers showing where all Arashi fans are located and hopefully present this as a gift to Arashi~! This is to show Arashi how many Arashi fans there really are around the world. In order for the project to succeed, she would like to have as many Arashi fans participating in this so the map can be accurately filled.
The tentative deadline for the project will be DEADLINE: Sunday, January 31, 2010

Arashi breaks Utada Hikaru's record, regains No.1 spot after the longest interval
The music clip video collection '5x10 - All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009' of popular group Arashi, who made their debut in the 2009 60th NHK Kouhaku Utagassen, has returned to the #1 position on the DVD (Overall) weekly charts 10 weeks after it made its debut at #1. The record of the longest interval for a music DVD returning to the #1 position was previously 3 weeks, held by Utada Hikaru's 'SINGLE CLIP COLLECTION VOL1' which was released in January 2000, making this the first time in 10 years that the record has been broken.
Arashi Matsumoto Jun Prefers 'Makeup of Strong Will'!
January 13th, Arashi member Jun Matsumoto attended KOSE's cosmetic brand FASIO's new CM release conference of in Tokyo. In the CM which to be aired from 16th, Matsumoto will be the first male spokesperson of this brand. He starred as the eyelash artist, "It's good to be a man of few words, working hard and stylish!" commented Matsumoto. In addition, he also mentioned that he liked "makeup of strong will with expressive eyes!"
Matsumoto appeared in the same clothes as in the CM, and he repeated the slogan "Power up!" more than planned and seemed liked the slogan a lot by saying "I am already get used to it!". He enjoyed character a lot this time because "I have been always told that 'you have long eyelash!" since I was a child." In the end, he concluded:"Let's power up the makeup, as well as the economy!"
Yama-P's (Tomohisa Yamashita) new drama "Code Blue" 2nd season began airing several days ago and got a high audience rating for the first episode! The "Code Blue" team led by Yama-P will compete with the comedian team "Neptune" and Arashi as well in the entertainment TV show "VS ARASHI / VS嵐" which is hosted by Arashi on Jan 21th.
Yama-P talks about the show after filming...
Yamashita :"I challenged various games at 'VS ARASHI' and I enjoyed a lot! I really liked it! Because we finished filming a little bit earlier today, I went to the gym. I sweated a lot but it was good. It feels good to exercise my body sometimes!"
Can you imagine the white-hot battle in the game and who won the victory? What kind of spark would be ignited between Arashi and Yama-P? Please look forward to the show!
