Jung Yong Hwa Meets His Grandmother, Go Doo Shim for ‘Future Choice’
Switching gears to acting, CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa became the grandson of veteran actress, Go Doo Shim.
In KBS’ upcoming new drama, Future Choice, Jung Yong Hwa plays Park Se Joo, who is a new VJ for YBS and an undercover boss, while Go Doo Shim plays YBS group CEO Lee Mi Ran.
Go Doo Shim plays a cold-hearted and charismatic CEO, who melts at the sight her only grandson, Jung Yong Hwa,
The first filming between the two actors was revealed in pictures, showing the close relationship between the grandmother and grandson. Despite it being the first shoot together, Jung Yong Hwa and Go Doo Shim pulled off each scene naturally, working together on every last detail to create a perfect scene.
Jung Yong Hwa initially appeared nervous to work with such a veteran actress, but Go Doo Shim loosened the stiff atmosphere and allowed Jung Yong Hwa to work comfortably. In between shoots, she continued to start up friendly conversations and gave him advice on his character, allowing the staff to praise the nation’s actress and mother. Jung Yong Hwa also hung onto every word said from the senior.
“I’m very delighted and honored to be working with Go Doo Shim. I was really nervous, but she made everything feel so comfortable that the filming finished with no problem,” said Jung Yong Hwa. “I have newfound respect for Go Doo Shim as she acted with sincerity in both rehearsals and the actual shoot. I have a lot to learn from her.”
Meanwhile, Future Choice is an upcoming time slip drama, where a person from the future visits her past self to give advice and change her destiny.
The drama will broadcast on October 14, following the conclusion of Good Doctor.
