GLAY Looking Back on 15 Years of Band History Since their Debut!
[2 days ago I started thinking that something wasn't quite right with my physical condition. I did everything just as normal, but I wasn't hungry at all...]
The one how wrote about not feeling well in his blog was GLAY's TERU. And what seemed to be the beginning of a typical cold, came eventually out as the flu.
[I returned home before 5 o'clock and checking on the temperature I had 38.4C
And still this year means to remember 15 years of band history.
[I want it to be a year full of live performances. And we are planning on releasing songs!]
It was written like that on there official site and now vocalist TERU isn't feeling well at all...
Either way, 2010 has only just began, so we all have to keep our eyes and ears open for GLAY!!

hyde's and HISASHI's Beloved "GRETSCH" Guitars Now Available as Miniature Models!!
The beloved guitars of popular brand "GRETSCH" of L'Arc~en~Ciel's hyde and GLAY's HISASHI have been released as miniature models in 1 to 8 format on the 2nd of February.
This guitar brand, which is world famous and has a history stretching over more than 120 years of guitar making, have produced these official, very rare items.
Of hyde's and HISASHI's favorite "DUO JET" there will be actually 8 different pieces and make a fabulous item in any fan's collection.
All the miniature figures have been hand crafted of wood, to present the same feeling as for the original items.
As for the price, a pack of one single miniature guitar costs 499 Yen and the BOX Set with all 10 available guitars will, accordingly, be priced at 4990Yen.

GLAY's TERU Introducing His Favorite Fruit.
It is known, that GLAY's TERU is a big fan of Oranges and fruits like that.
Therefore he had been introducing them in his blog.
[I really used to like the Hassuke Oranges a lot more, however, recently I prefer them sourer and not as ripe, but that's a story from long ago. (laughs) I put up a gigantic orange on the altar of someone once after their death. It was about 30 centimeters in diameters. It was surprising when I tried to peel it. It must have been somewhat into 10 centimeters thick...it was so thick!]
So what kind of fruit was this Orange? Have you ever heard of the name "Buntin"?
It is what TERU found at a MatsuYama Store and it seems that he was mightily satisfied with his unexpected purchase...!
[I just buy this!, I thought at that moment. The moment I asked the lady at the store for two bags, she told me, that the fruit is pretty sour and that the actual eatable fruit is really small. And if I still wanted it...well...I stop here... ]
Before, he had gotten the fruit at his favorite restaurant, where he is a regular customer and he came to say, that he is addicted to the certain texture.
Well, this is TERU's recommendation then!

GLAY to Release "LET ME BE" at iTunes Store only!
In 2009 GLAY have been looking back on 15 years of band history and to amongst their energetic lives as musicians in 2009, they also appeared at the COUNT DOWN Live at Makuhari Messe. At that occasion they had also played the well-received song "LET ME BE". Due to popular demand from their fans, GLAY now released the long awaited live version of this song for download, starting on February 24th.
The song "LET ME BE" had been part of their Album "THE GREAT VACATION VOL.2 -SUPER BEST OF GLAY-", which had been released on October 21st in 2009 and was recorded as a new song on this best of album. Previously it had been played only at lives and events and, moreover, became their personal theme song of their 15 years as a band.
The release this time is especially moving, since the recorded version is the one played at the COUNT DOWN Live at the end of 2009 and surely the emotions of that time can be re-lived once more!

GLAY offers new song "Apologize" for free
Rock band GLAY has announced that its song "Apologize" will be available for free as a chaku-uta full download, for a limited time next month. Although that strategy has been used before to promote newer artists, it is rare for a top-selling artist like GLAY to take that approach.
GLAY has been performing "Apologize" in their concerts since their nationwide tour last fall, but a recorded version was not available before. The band decided to offer the song for free as an expression of gratitude to their fans. Leader TAKURO said that he also hopes the move will help attract new fans, comparing it to the band's early days when they handed out free demo tapes at live houses.
There have been cases where artists thank fans by making a regular chaku-uta download (not the full song) free, but GLAY is going all the way. Singer Hikaru Utada (27) did a similar promotion where she made a new song available for free for users of the mobile phone brand au, but GLAY's song will be open to all users regardless of their phone brand. Users will also be able to send the song as a "gift" to others.
"Apologize" will be free from April 1 to April 21 through mobile sites. There are currently no plans for either a CD release or a paid digital download.
GLAY also announced that they are doing a 37-show tour that will start in June

GLAY Dedicates Their First New Single of 2010 to People who Challenges
GLAY has been challenging in 2009 which was titled as "GLAY 15th Anniversary". They have released 2 best albums with 3 CDs, performed at Nissan Stadium and arena tour until the countdown live on New Years Eve. It is no exaggeration to say that this year was their culmination.
GLAY will start a new challenge in 2010.
As a first step, their new song "Apologize" can be downloaded for free as Chaku-Uta Full (R), Chaku-Uta Full (R) Gift in from 1 to 21 April at major music mobile sites.
This song uses the system "Uta Gift (Song Gift)" , people can give the song to friends or family.
GLAY said"This is a music present from GLAY for people who is waiting for a new journey now" and who is seeing them off with lots of emotion. Many thanks to who celebrated our 15th year as a band. See you at the venue this year too!!"
