‘Goblin’ Snags Another Record, Will It Surpass ‘Reply 1988’?
The tvN Friday-Saturday hit drama ‘Goblin’, also known as ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’, has just broken another record. The fantasy-romance drama recorded 14% viewership on 16 December according to TNmS.

When compared to the ratings of other tvN dramas of the same episodes, Goblin is by far the most successful drama. Signal recorded around 7% at the same episode, while Reply 1988 scored 9.6%. Many fans are now curious to see whether the series will achieve the highest rating of Reply 1988, which was 18.4% at the last episode. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God is a tvN short series of 16 episodes, starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo In-na, and Yook Sung-jae. It airs every Friday and Saturday, and can also be watched online on DramaFever and Viki. The plot revolves around a 939 years old dokkaebi and his young bride – the only person capable of pulling out a ghost sword from the dokkaebi’s chest. The series started with incredibly high ratings, which it has managed to double in a very short time. This K-drama is literally slaying the ratings!
