Q) Whats the meaning of FT Island?
A) "It means Five Treasure Island. We decided on it because we wanted to be something as precious as treasures to our fans."
FT Island has already become a treasure that shines brilliantly inside many fans' hearts. They are the perfect prince charmings that won the love of not only the girls all across the country but also of noonas.
Q) Seems like FT Island is really popular lately...?
A) "Even though they love us so much, it still doesnt feel real to us. We can only think about trying our hardest and performing better."
Despite that they're fresh out of the oven, their popularity is soaring! We've already witnessed this at their first showcase, havent we?

A) "At first we wondered if we just had pretty faces with no talents, but then we didnt choose music in order to debut. We debuted in order to do music. We met because we liked music in first place..."
Appearance, musical talent, stage manner! You're gravely mistaken if you thought of these five men with all three beats as just a handsome band! We wonder if they are the true future of music. Its just that they cannot hide their pretty faces where ever they go.
Q) Who is the most popular member?
A) "It looks like Minhwan, the youngest, is taking over love from nunas. Please show me how to attracts nunas. WHATS THE SECRET?"

A) "I feel pressured, resembling such cool sunbae. But I want to do my best and definitely become like him."

A) "We were really surprised when we heard that we were going to be on stage with our idols. We're practicing really hard in order to have a performance that doesnt shame them."
Amazing act, in order to present a fantastic performance, they are practicing everyday. Their rehearsals are no different from their live performances.
A) Aren't you tired due to your recent schedules...?
A) [Interview: Lee Hongki] "Because we're on alot of tv shows, this much is tiring but THIS much is fun."
A) [Interview: Oh Wonbin] "We always play our instruments even when practice for the Big 4 Concert ends late. If we stop playing, then our skills rust. We try not to miss a day by practicing even really late at night."

FT Island - The Handsome Band Takes over the Pool
The moment they step into the pool, FT Island continuously bursts out "Wow~ It's so cool!" Even though they each walked in with shy smile on their faces, they seem to feel instantly better once they see the water. Wonbin and Hongki, who have kept themselves busy by taking self pictures with an underwater camera in the corner, succeeded in breaking apart the camera and its case that they loved so much. Then they had to hear lectures from Jonghun, Jaejin and Minhwan "Why would you break something that works fine?!?"
Jonghun, sitting down on the edge of the sun bed occupied by Minhwan, complains "Where the heck am I supposed to sit?" and then carefully studies the far away sky. Jonghun cheers up at Jaejin's "what a painting~" and then continues to talk about the picture concept. He finally returns to his place when other members whine "once is enough! What more do you want?"

This something that all the members shout out in unity is the promise that they made last winter vacation to go to the pool together. One by one, using body fatigue as an excuse, they stopped going. In order to prevent this, their company made a deal with the boys. Absent members should pay the members who went $1. This technique, burrowing the power of money, seemed to work at first but stirred tension among members. Lee Hongki, blinded by money, was caught while trying to leave after turning off other members' alarm clocks. When everyone looks at him laughing about the incident, Hongki casually says "$1 was valuable back then!"
After a brief but cool rest, the time came for them to leave in order to attend their next schedule.
"It'd be great to spend all day here."

"Dongha hyung, You're So Cool!"
Midsummer's heat cannot be hotter than them. On the evening of 22nd at the 'Summer Big 4 Concert' held at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stage, SG Wannabe's Choi Dongha presented a special stage with the new band FT Island. FT Island forms Shift in Generation with SG Wannabe
At the recently held "Summer Big 4 Concert" held at the Seoul Olympic Park gymnastic stadium, FT Island displayed the popularity that is as great as of SG
Wannabe. The moment that FT Island stood before 7500 audience members for the first time, cheers from teenage fans filled the stadium. This was almost no different from the amount of cheers heard when SG Wannabe appeared on stage.
On this day, FT Island thanked the fans for their support. "We were so nervous about performing infront of so many people for the first time. We're so grateful that the fans received us so warmly." They also added, "Our average age is 17.4 and therefore we still have to improve in so many areas, but please keep watching us."
Starting from their opening song 'FT Island' and to 'Love Sick," FT Island performed SG Wannabe- like songs and energetic rock songs with no trouble.
One of the staff members for FT Island revealed "On this day, there was a casual fan meeting after the concert and that gathered about 500 devoted fans."

The new rock/ballade group FT Island's 'Love Sick' took #1 spot for 2 weeks straight.
FT Island, ranked #1 last week on Jukeon chart, took first place again for the second week against top senior artists and emphasized the new group's power.
Down the list, Lee Ssang and Yangpa took 5th and 6th place respectively, Wanted and Lee Jung's duet 'I promise you' jumped up one step and landed within Top 10 as #10.
Released last January, In Sun's 'Goose's dream' flew up 18 places, proving its work for recent commercials successful. V.O.S + (Hyunjoon)'s 'Me Now' jumped up 14 places and Mina's 'Look (feat. Ak'sent) (Radio Edit)' jumped up 9 places; both are becoming very popular among listeners.

All the FTIsland members are preparing a new music video with great expectations.
The FTIsland music debut 'Sarangaahlee' took them in the top of different charts and radios in 2007 and this time the next clip that will succeed the last mv 'I'm Happy'(Haengbokhamnida) it will be 'Thunder'(Shodung).
This time the music video will talking about love and violence at school, and will show the friendship relation from a girl and a boy of the same age from the FTIsland members and they're carrying through the mv sheudulers at a middle high school where it already had been recorded almost 10 different school dramas.
For these new FTIsland music video was chosen the new generation star Min Hyu Rin, that will interpret a teacher who has a certain affection by the pupils and it's against the 'young smoke'(?)
The special participation will be of the FT member Lee HongKi who already acted in dramas in his past as 'Magic Kid Masuri' and 'KkangSunee' and for this new production the expectations are great to see his returns in drama performances.
The 'I'm Happy'(Haengbokhamnida) and 'Thunder'(Shodung) music videos will be recorded at a special music show in this next weekend.
In the last July 22nd the FTIsland performance at the Summer Big4 Concert in the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium received almost 7,500 spectators at a musical instrument live performance that all the FT members has been so exciting to do in two songs performances.

The 'new idol group' FTIsland are in the the top of many online charts and they're running fast to the success.
The first work song from FTIsland 'Sarangahlee' grasp the 1st position in many online charts and puts the Mnet website as one of the most visited sites in the net.
Others k-pop stars as YangPa, SG Wannabe, SeeYa had been grasp so surprised with the quickly new group growth after their debut and the fact of their song have so much success in so many radios and charts raking.
The group FTIsland who debuted has just 2 months ago quickly advanced in orders at radios and searchs at raking charts and these week was really special for them, cuz they had remained in the 1st position for 2 weeks followed and in four different charts at least.
Behind of the FTIsland at the Mnet online chart list are: 'So Fresh' from MC Mong at the 2nd position, JajihaeuMyo at the 3rd position, 'Ilnyuneul Harudati' from Bobby Kim at the 5th position, 'Sarangeun Gasmi Shikida Part.2' from Boju at the 6th position.

The handsome FT Island, in order to hold a concert, in which they'll prove their skills, is on a mission to collect 100,000 fans.
FT Island will appear on a reality show 'MTV Treasure Island' shown on cable music channel MTV and visit their fans on august 10th, 5 pm.
Five Treasure Island consists 5 teenage handsome boys. They're a band with vocal & instrumental skills and visual. They are currently showing off their individual talents through their title song 'Love Sick,' written and composed by Vibe's Ryu Jaehyun.
However on show programs they have limited opportunities to show off their instrumental skills, and so number of fans that doubt their skills is increasing.
Crying out against this situation, FT Island members requested for a live concert. Their representative replied "It is troublesome to open up a live concert for a new group." He suggested that he'll open up a live concert only when their fanclub members reach 100,000.
For a new group that has been working only for 2 months, collecting 100,000 fanclub members is a big challenge. Members, however, are not giving up. Their reality show will reveal the members setting up their fan cafe and frequently posting video files and replies in order to collect 100,000 fans.
FT Island's Lee Hongki (vocal) said "We wont say that our instrumental skills are the best. But its unfair that our skills get questioned when we cant perform as much due to tv program regulations." He revealed his ambition, "If all the members work together, I'm certain that we'll soon be able to meet with the audience at a live concert."

FT Island's vocal Lee Hongki is combating against live concert while protecting his vocal cord by drinking water extracted from black bean.
FT Island's representative revealed, "We are doing as many live performances as we can. Even though vocalist Lee Hongki is on vocal cord protection emergency, drinking black bean water, as prescribed by folk remedies, is definitely helping."
FT Island has taken over #1 on various music charts and music programs only a month after their debut. They are dealing with at least 3 or 4 events a day. Even during their free time, they are keeping themselves busy with practices.
Lee Hongki, in order to sing live for every single performance, is consulting various folk remedies in order to protect his vocal cord. Among them, drinking black bean water appears to be most effective.
Hongki said "I'm depending on resources from nature rather than on medicine. It appears that this drink is proving effective. My condition is improving. I'll try hard in order to perform live."
