ermmm...awat cikgu tak jawab soalan nie
me rasakan cikgu ramai mak/ayah kat luar sana so-so aje BI mereka, tak semua org bernasib baik dapat pendedahan cam mod fly dan mac dimana mak/ayah memang fasih berbahasa...dan persekitaran mereka yg byk membantu...
buku bagus byk tapi teknik dan approach yg digunakan pelbagai...jadi mungkin cikgu boleh turunkan sket ilmu dlm menitikberatkan penggunaan bahasa nie sekiranya ibu ayah bukan native english speaker..
setahu me kan, kalo kita sembang dgn india...depa memang konfiden sungguh cakap english tapi bila dah faham selok-belok bahasa nie...grammar dia alahai, surprisingly mak/ayah tak tahu sepatah pun bahasa nie...tapi anak2 cakap english |

Abang duda rasa lagi tepat kalau Basic English ni di bagi dlm projection of age categori. Umur sekian sekian, apa penekanan yg betul yg patut diberi dulu, then move from age 4 - 6, 7 - 9 bla bla, baru namapak the module progress ikut kesesuaioan umur & perkembangan minda utk timbulkan minta yg jelas.
Yang penting belajar bahasa english kena buat in staggered ways, step by step, kalau bagi semua secara general, effect dia kurang berkesan. That's why orang kata kena start dari awal. Kalau org Cina boleh bercakap 3 bahasa dari kecik, why not org Melayu try 2 bahasa dulu sejak kecik, mmg boleh, cuma kadang org kalau dengar org ckp english ni ada yg ambik sikap negatif, perli , sindir, bila kena sindir terus berhenti .... .. the attitude again. |

Bahasa Tamil punya grammar hampir sama dengan English punya grammer. PEndekatan dan cara pembelajaran grammer tu la. Itu sebab Indian cepat pick up.
And that is why I suka kalau Indian teacher ajar anak i English......

Actually , English n i yg penting keberanian nak bukak mulut and try to converse with confidence. So first step when u teach English, you must give good & enough inspirations for them to be brave to start speaking , kalau tau vocab & grammar tp tak brave pun tak guna, thats why ada org dia good at writing but speaking wise dia tak confident. Abang duda is a good example, i was a kampung boy yg mmg tak ckp english langsung but im proud to tell i tak takut buat mistake and that was how everything got started. |

VERY VERY TRUE.
Cabaran sebenarnya adalah to make and persuade the child to open his/her mouth and speak the language. Itu yg sebenarnya. |

Spidernfly, my girls attend a convent school. So paham2la ramai nonmalays and they are exposed to English a lot.
Whenever I accompany my girls pergi competition, I would hear and see students from other schools, mocking them, jeling2 and pandang semacam because they speak ENglish among themselves.
YEs attitude ini memang wujud and attitude inilah yg menghalang students utk lebih maju dalam English.
Dulu kat paper ada a huge discussion on racial integration. And there was a big picture, a malay, a chinese and indian sharing an ice cream. That picture was taken at my girl punya school. Classmates anak i la tu. Mac suka tengok racial integration kat sekolah mereka. Although ada yg stick with their own kind, tapi ramai jugak yg mix around.
Kat sekolah my son lagi la sikit budak melayu. Ada 26 malays aje dalam the whole of std 1. Pagi tadi, masa i hantar anak i, suka pulak i tgk my son tergelak2 dgn another singh, while walking together to the hall for assembly. |
