SEA Games: Bigger reward for Korat winners
KUALA LUMPUR: Manulife Insurance (M) Bhd have decided to increase their reward for the top Malaysian performers in the recent SEA Games in Thailand by RM10,000, taking the total to RM50,000.
The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) secretary general, Datuk Sieh Kok Chi, said that the increase was the reward for strong performances by Malaysian athletes at the Games.
Malaysia won 68 gold medals, surpassing the target of 64.
揟his is good news for the athletes as they will get a little more money for their efforts. This is the 13th year that Manulife have provided cash incentives for gold medallists in the regional Games.
