I pilih nak review beniboy . But before that nak ckp pasal our health DG. Pernah jumpa berdepan2 sekali. Dia mmg orgnya sempoi and berkarisma. I have so much respect for him so much so dia dtg kasi healthcare talk yg technical pon i pegi dengar
Beni during Pre-medtweet:
I used to follow his twitter sometimes in 2016. Time tu mmg takde doc socmed. Kira dia femes la, ppl even called him selebriti doc. Byk la medstudent drooling over him dkt timeline dia tu. Gaya dia jwb pon mmg charming la. Aah, dia mmg jenis suka bergurau. Time ni i rasa dia sweet
Level i tak makan semeja mcm Adorra . I takat attended one of his talks to the students, i dok observe dr back seat..hahaha. Mmg dia ada karisma la.
I pon sempat CSI dia and dpt la jugak tgk fb exwife dia. I baca gak blog dia. I rasa he is good story teller(if he uses less medical tech term). And from the few entries in the blog, i pon get the impression he is indeed lonely and pretty much affected from his past marriage.
Beni during medtweet:
Dia makin famous and i rasa mcm kadang2 ada sket poyos tp sbb i benism, i okay jah. Cultural shock kot. Penah baca cerita yg dia tulih dlm buku anwar fazal tu, apa tah tajuk, lupa plak. I rasa tak best cerita tu walaupun org ckp best. So, i tak sure how good is breathe sbbnya his fan based mmg besar. Med student msia, yg kat overseas, yg bukan med student belum masuk yg bukan student . So takyah best pon, his fan will definitely buy punyalah.
Lately yg pasal tweet nak gak mention lofa, i rasa mcm trying too hard sgt. Tweet pasal dia ada same look dgn 1 actor dlm drama series doc apa tah, i rasa mcm poyo jugak. Fine la org nak tweet abt him, tp for him to retweet back..issh mcm tak classy gitu . So i pon dah less benism now
p/s: I tak suke some of the medtweet ppl. I appreciate their input. Tp, ada yg menjwb mcm takde adap, sound belagak pon ada. Dr Rafidah tu pon i tak bape berkenan dulu. Now i dont know, as i dont stalked them anymore. Some yg i used to follow pon i unfollowed. Kadang2 nampak post depa dkt fb lalu lalang kat timeline i. Apa kalau nak share knowledge mmg kene eksyen ke? |

I agreee with your observations about Dr Beni ..Looks like he's been trying a lil bit too hard , pasal the Good Doctor character look-a-like and pasal rajin tweet pasal Neelofa especially . Since then , I think his " coolness factor" has gone down. I don't know, maybe he has more free time now since he's full time studying at the moment, or maybe he's truly lonely.Whatever it is, I hope he'll pull his socks up eventually and return to be the suave cardiologist he used to be.
Pasal medtweetmy doctors tu , I share your opinion too. I used to vouch for these people through their #perangmelawanmitos campaign. But I think there are some bad apples in the bunch that brought the team's reputation down. Especially when some doctors choose to be quite sarcastic in their posts inasmuch that they're doing it to rake in more likes/retweets. Things stop being cool when you do it for recognition.
I used to follow Dr Rafidah, but her constant "Look at how many fruits I'm eating today" posts are as annoying as people who post photos of their kale smoothies with #eatclean hashtags. Some might say I'm jealous because she's living the healthy lifestyle. I'm not, it's just that I've got her message already and I don't have to be constantly reminded of it. So I just unfollow lah.
Sometimes you have to have a good cop bad cop situation. Dr Rafidah was the bad cop who said things people didn't want to say because they didn't want to offend Neelofa ( with referene to the Chew & Glow case), whereas Dr Liyana is the good cop who did not say anything publicly to Neelofa regarding the same issue (probably because they know each other personally). So there you go, it looked like Dr Rafidah did the dirty job there...but hey , at least she stuck out for the team...
BTW, I don't agree with what the male doctor (who shared his stories of sexual assault victims on FB) did despite his attempt to anonymise the patient. There are ways to share these sort of stories, but not like that . There was way too much emotion laced into the stories, I felt like he was no different than any makcik bawang.
