When these two get together, they make a truly Fantastic Couple.
Based on the 1987 Hollywood film Overboard starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, Fantastic Couple became one of the most popular Korean dramas of 2006 simply for being outrageously funny. Showing once again their comic talent, the Hong sisters (writers of Sassy Girl Chunhyang and My Girl) mix sitcom tropes with interesting characters and even a little touch of drama to create arguably their best work to date. The biggest surprise is perhaps Han Ye Seul, who adapts to the two completely different sides of her role with great energy and spunk. |
