Popular trio JYJ have revealed that they will do their best to correct the misconceptions surrounding AIDS.
JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) attended te opening ceremony of the 10th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP10) that was held in Busan on the 26th and received their ‘Regional Goodwill Ambassador’ appointment letters from Michel Sidibé, the Secretary General of UNAIDS.
Secretary General of UNAIDS says to JYJ, “Thank you, thank you, and thank you for acception”
Secretary General Michel Sidibé explained why JYJ were chosen as he said, “The infection rate of AIDS is high across the world. AIDS affects even children and teenagers and a victory will be impossible in this fight unless a movement for change begins in the younger generation,” and “This is why we have chosen JYJ to become regional goodwill ambassadors (as they are popular with children and teenagers in the region).”
He continued to say, “It is an honor to know that JYJ will put into action the work I’ve been planning,” and “JYJ will be working hard to provide correct information about HIV. They will not only be active in Korea and Asia, but the entire world.”
The Secretary General had expectations for JYJ that clearly exceeded that which is normally given to goodwill ambassadors. Sidibé stated, “I firmly believe that JYJ will be the forerunners in this new movement for change and work with us,” and “Thank you, thank you, and thank you for acception.“
JYJ say, “We will work hard to correct the misconceptions surrounding AIDS”
The members of JYJ then expressed their thoughts about becoming goodwill ambassadors for the cause. Kim Junsu looked determined as he said, “Many people see AIDS as a disease that is fatal and dangerous if contracted, but it’s now being said that people can live long even if they have AIDS as long as they receive continuous treatment. As treatment that completely eradicates AIDS hasn’t been discovered yet, a continuous stream of attention and effort to prevent contraction is required. We will work hard to do so.“
Park Yoochun added, “Many people have taken interest in JYJ in the Asia and Pacific region,” and “We will work hard to correct the misconceptions surrounding AIDS so people know what exactly it is and how to prevent it.”
The members of JYJ received a gift from Secretary General Sidibé that represents solidarity. Following this, JYJ took a photo with the Secretary General and Jo Myung Hwan, the head of the ICAAP10 committee. Shouts were heard when JYJ entered and excited the event hall from the 100 fans who gathered to see them. A representative of ICAAP10 stated, “I was so surprised when I heard a large noise at the event hall, but I later learned it was the fans.” JYJ also performed at the event’s welcome party that began at 5p.m..
Meanwhile, ICAAP10 is being held from the 26th till the 30th of August under the theme ‘Diverse Voices, United Actions’ and will look back on the progress made in prevention and treatment in the past 30 years to commemorate the 30th year since AIDS was first discovered as well as bring up future plans. 4,000 people from 70 countries will participate in ICAAP10 and this will be the first time that the congress is held in Korea.
Though the first lady, Kim Yoon Ok, was scheduled to attend the welcome party, she was unable to do so as she was visiting Kazakhstan with the president. The head of the ICAAP10 committee Jo Myung Hwan delivered the first lady’s congratulatory message instead. Nafis Sadik, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary General, delivered UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon’s message as well.
JYJ’s Yoochun, who appeared in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” has won the Korean Drama Best Actor Award at the Seoul Drama Awards 2011.

At the awards ceremony, Yoochun said “I’m really thankful for all the love and awards that has been given to “SungKyunKwan Scandal.” This is a project that, aside from myself, many other actors and staff has worked hard on. I always want to work hard and do my best, and this is the belief that the other JYJ members and I hold on to. We’re really thankful to the fans who have given us our chances, and we will work hard.” expressing his gratitude.
Also, the Seoul Drama awards started in 2006, and this is the 6th year which it has been held, with not only Korean works, but seeing a total of 204 works from 37 different countries across the world participating in this event.

JYJ Announces Europe Tour to Begin in October
by: writer_girlon Sep 4, 2011
After much speculation, C-Jes Entertainment has confirmed that JYJ will hold several concerts this year in select countries in Europe.
According to C-Jes, "JYJ's show in Europe has been confirmed. After the show in Spain in October, there will be another one in Germany in early November."
The concerts will be held at the Palau Sant Jordi Stadium in Barcelona, Spain on October 29 and the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany on November 6. The Palau Sant Jordi Stadium has a 24,000-seating capacity and hosted several events during the 1992 Summer Olympics, while the Tempodrom has hosted concerts by the likes of Amy Winehouse and Janet Jackson.
The trio have also expressed their excitement for the concert, stating that, "We don't want to make a huge difference between the Europe, North America and Asia tour. We are just deeply moved and delighted at the fact that we are preparing to meet fans we haven't met before in a new city. As there are high expectations for Hallyu globally, we will present the fans with the best performance and teamwork."
JYJ is currently preparing for their Korean comeback and will release the MV teaser for "In Heaven" later today.

JS was alway engrossed in work and neglected JH. So JH was upset & she called JS and he didn't pick it up though he saw the caller was her. So, she committed suicide. And that was in Aug 2008. JS was dreaming about what happened to JH on the day she died. 2 years later, he was still reminded of her about what happened and was feeling very remorsed about it. The 2nd scene when JS was in the bed, it went back to 2008 from his current 2010 and it was 8am - the same time as of 2010 when he woke up the door bell rang and he was shocked to see JH coz she was supposed to be dead. JH was upset JS was ignoring her & she react like nothing happened. JS looked at the calendar and was shocked to find himself back to Aug 2008. He was happy so he hug JH. And he listed down the things he wants to do with JH while she's still around with him. They met by the park and went to a restaurant - things that JS wanted to do with her. But he was always making her wait because of his work. Then finally the day when JH was supposed to have died, come. And JH went to JS house with his picture only to find a dead pot of flower, so she decided to change it for him with a sunflower. But she left her phone when she went out and JS was unable to reach her. JS has a meeting that day. He was reminded of what happened to JH that day when he ignored her & was regretting and thinking he should go get her. He ran out of the meeting room and all the way to the place where the accident happened and was glad to find her there. He saw a car approaching her and tried to shield her from it. But the both of them were knocked down. So, eventually the both of them met at the "heaven" #InHeavenbyJYJ ^_^
On September 15, C-JeS Entertainment revealed the full MV to JYJ’s title track, “In Heaven, timed in conjunction with the long-awaited release of JYJ’s ten-track Korean album, also titled In Heaven.
And after last week’s foreboding MV teaser, JYJ fans finally get to experience Junsu and Song Ji Hyo‘s touching love story. Junsu plays the all-too-busy boyfriend who chooses work over love, which he learns to regret only after fate takes Ji Hyo’s life in a tragic car accident.
If anyone’s seen the film If Only, this MV might ring a few bells.
Years later, a grief-stricken Junsu is now a highly successful businessman (a la Jaejoong in Protect the Boss and Yoochun in Miss Ripley), but it’s an empty shell of a life, with the gaping hole that Ji Hyo’s death has left behind.
When the clocks rewind back to 2008 and Ji Hyo shows up at his door, Junsu realizes that he’s been given a second chance to make her happy. But there’s an expiration date on this heaven-sent reunion as the date of Ji Hyo’s accident approaches…
The MV goes hand-in-hand with the sorrowful, regretful lyrics of “In Heaven,” which is said to have been written by Jaejoong for his close friend, actor Park Yong Ha, who took his own life last June. “In Heaven” also features actress Kim Jung Eun, who does the short but poignant narrations at the beginning and end of the song.
JYJ has just released a friendly public service announcement (PSA) called ’Do It Now!‘.
In the commercial, JYJ actively promotes being smarter with internet security by urging people to change their passwords frequently. The message is definitely hard to ignore, thanks to the trio’s overflowing charm and devastatingly good looks.
So, what are you waiting for? “Do It Now!” and check out the commercial below:
