SS501 Malaysia concert leg of Asia tour confirmed
7 Figure Sum for SS501 to sing in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur - Korean popular idol group SS501’s Malaysia concert will be organised by Marctensia, who will pay a 7 figure sum for the exclusive rights.
SS501, who made a whirlwind trip last week to Malaysia for a press conference and autograph signing session, have previously announced plans for a concert in Malaysia this December or next January. According to reliable sources, since the news of SS501’s announcement of their plans to perform in Malaysia broke, there were 3 concert organising companies from Singapore and Malaysia that competed for the rights to organise the concert. However, it was Marctensia that won the sole rights with a 7 figure sum to organise ‘SS501 ASIA TOUR PERSONA 2009’ in Malaysia.
Marctensia were also the organisers of Ariel Lin’s and Akon’s concerts in Malaysia. Sources have pointed out that 3 days after sending SS501 back to Korea, the management of SS501 returned to Malaysia to discuss with Marctensia about the details of the concert.
Same Asking Price as Jay Chou
Following the discussions between both parties, Marctensia will bring SS501’s concert to Malaysia with the price reserved for heavenly kings of Mandarin pop. “Heard that this price is almost equivalent to Jay Chou’s asking price, and just SS501’s fee will be close to RM100, 000!”
Following the successful concert in Seoul Olympic Stadium on 1 August, SS501, who have debuted for 4 years, have announced the start of their Asia tour, which includes two consecutive days of concerts beginning 13 August at Bodukan in Tokyo after which they will perform at Taipei Arena and in Singapore.
Because the organising company has just receiving the schedule for SS501’s concert tour, the concert venue and date have not been confirmed. However, it is speculated to be held mid-December, around the time that the Singapore leg of their concert will be held.
The management of SS501, who are currently very popular in Asia, are speculated to be bringing up to a hundred crew and staff on tour with them, including SS501’s assistants, make up artists, hair stylists, concert technical crew etc.

Kim Hyun Joong, Lee Min Ho, Kim Jun, Kim Bun, Goo Hye Soo and the original sound track singer group SS501 and T-Max held their Korean Version "Boys over Flowers" fan meeting in National Convention Hall of Yokohama on 7pm, 6 Sept. The event was conducted in interview style with the guest, they won loud applause by 4000 fans as reward to them.
The host requested them to use "Three-color event", an unconventional conversation style to sing and act to communicate with their fans. Kim Hyun Joong was the only person who could converse with the host without translation. Naturally, he became the perfect man in the eyes of the fans.
Kim Hyun Joong who was contacted with sore throat, fever and flu, could not attend the press conference previously, but he insisted to attend the fan meeting on 6 Sept. He said that was the promise he made with Japan fans "Even if I am not feeling well, I will still do a good performance together with everybody." During the event, other than performing together with SS501 members, he also sung his solo "lease be good to me" and "Thank you".
Japan fans wanted to tell Kim Hyun Joong: "Thank you for bringing us such a fantastic performance even when you are sick. Hope you get well soon and let us see the cheerful you on stage."
