SiWon has sustained an ankle injury on his left leg after twisting his ankle while filming 'Human Expedition Team'. He twisted his ankle when he attempted the long jump segment. His ankle is now in a plaster cast and is undergoing recovery.
All activites for SiWon have been halted after his injury.
On the 25th while filming SBS' variety show <Good Sunday>'s segment 'Human Expedition Team' at KyungKiDo's Production Centre, the incident of SiWon injuring his left ankle was revealed and as a result, his ankle has been cast in plaster.
SiWon was attempting the long jump when he twisted his ankle. He experienced much pain after the incident and was admitted to hospital on the 29th to cast his ankle to fix the injury.
SiWon will be stopping all activties and performances on 'Human Expedition Team' to allow his ankle to heal. The good thing is, Super Junior has decided to end all 2nd Album promotional activites after the year-end music festivals, hence there will not be much influence on the group's activities.
SiWon's injury is another warning to artistes who take part in variety shows. In another segment of SBS' Good Sunday, 'Miracle's victory book', Wonder Girls' SunYe injured her nose while leaping over the high bar and was admitted into ER to undergo 2 weeks of intensive care.
The company released a statement saying that 'SiWon's sudden injury has resulted in his inability to take part in the year-end music festivals and he feels sorry towards the members because of the incident. No matter what people around him have said, he has insisted on appearing at the SBS Gayo Festival on crutches to cheer the other members on'.
