#Showbiz: 'My son was taken from me without my permission'- Mizz Nina
KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and humanitarian activist, Mizz Nina, claimed that her adopted son, Musa, was taken out of her home without her permission and knowledge, where they were kept apart for over three weeks.
Mizz Nina, whose real name is Shazrina Azman, 44, described it as a betrayal and bearing an emotional impact, especially since she nurses Musa and has never been separated from him.
She alleges that Musa was taken out while she was on a business trip to Tokyo, Japan in December last year.
"Musa was taken out of the house while I was on my way to Tokyo. When I landed, I was told that Musa had been taken out of the house by a full-time caregiver.
"All this happened while I was on the plane, without my permission and knowledge.
"Imagine how I felt when I landed? From there, I flew back to Kuala Lumpur and found out Musa was with my ex-husband.
"For over three weeks, I didn't know where Musa was. Can you imagine a two-year-old being taken out of the house? It's something that traumatises Musa.
"I was very stressed during that period," she said when interviewed by Berita Harian.
Following that, Mizz Nina, who has all legal documents related to Musa, used legal channels to get her child back.
"I was very worried about his safety, my parents, and everyone. It was a betrayal.
"So, the only way to get Musa back was through legal channels. "We have complete documents and everything related to Sharia (law). Because of that, I obtained a court order and Alhamdulillah (thanks to God), I got Musa back.
"However, the question is, why didn't he (Noh Salleh) take Musa in the right and legal way? "Because he didn't have complete documents and chose the wrong way by planning and waiting for me to be out of Malaysia to take Musa. "Manipulating, planning, and dishonest, but no one knows all this," she said.
Mizz Nina believes that the actions taken by her ex-husband were planned from the beginning and that he was just waiting for the right time to take Musa away from her.
However, she is grateful that Musa is now back in her arms.
"For me, Musa's health and safety are my priorities. Because it causes a young child trauma when he is taken out of the house for over three weeks.
"I have the right to take care of Musa according to the law. Musa is indeed under my care, and my ex-husband knows all that," she said. It is not her intention to expose anyone's shame. Mizz Nina said she only wants to share the real situation, considering she has never shared anything about it on social media.
"I feel like many know me as someone who values privacy. I will never make a statement. "You can look at my life, even after I divorced my ex-husband, I've never shamed him and or said anything. "To make this statement means that something wrong has happened because I don't willingly make statements. "I have never done anything like this; I am saying this (fact) for you to think about.
"I believe my ex-husband waited for me not to be in Malaysia and planned all this. He could have done it properly before pulling off this 'crazy' stunt, but he didn't," she said.
Earlier, Musa's biological mother, known only as Athira, denied allegations of giving permission to singer and rock group, Hujan, vocalist Noh Salleh to take Musa.
Athira claimed to be manipulated and used by Noh for his own interests in getting Musa out of Mizz Nina's house with the help of a caregiver.
At the same time, Mizz Nina denies claims by her ex-husband that it was difficult to communicate with her when he wanted to take Musa back.
"Before the court order, we communicated, and he once asked if he could meet Musa, and then suddenly he couldn't because he was busy.
"However, in terms of communication, he is not my mahram (related to me any longer), so it is not suitable for a non-mahram to contact me. "In Islam, that is wrong. If he wants to communicate, it is better to contact my mahram, namely my husband, Essam Muhammad, or my father," she said, expressing gratitude for her husband Essam's strong support.
Meanwhile, Mizz Nina also expressed disappointment when her ex-husband violated the agreement by showing Musa's face in photos shared on social media.
"I am concerned about Musa's safety, just like the biological mother's request, Musa's face cannot be exposed. "Previously, I've never shown Musa's face in photos for public viewing. I never reveal his face in any of my photos online," she said. Mizz Nina added that for now, she has nothing to claim from her ex-husband. She just wanted to share what had happened.
