• Sridevi had fallen in love with Mithun Chakraborty on the sets of Rakesh Roshan?s Jaag Utha Insan. But Mithun was already married to Yogeeta Bali and they had a son. Sridevi had also pleaded with Yogeeta to leave Mithun, but of course she didn?t let go. Sridevi and Mithun had got married secretly and later Mithun admitted to the press. But only when a fan magazine published their marriage certificate! Yogeeta Bali took an overdose of sedatives, after which Mithun went back to his wife.
• When Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu looked like they had the perfect marriage, out came his marriage with Asma. When Saira threw a fit and asked for a quick divorce, Dilip Kumar retracted to Saira and divorced Asma. Asma remained the loser all the way, as she had left her husband and children to be with her beloved. She tried suicide and later went back to her former husband.
• Karisma and Ajay were madly in love with each other. That was before Ajay fell madly in love with Kajol. Karisma had called Ajay one day while he was on an outdoor shoot and heard a female voice in his room. She threw a fit and left in a huff. Quickly, Kajol moved in leaving her long-standing boyfriend Kartik.
• Rekha got into a heady alliance with Sunjay Dutt (then referred to as her toyboy) after she was disallowed to meet Amitabh Bachchan. Even when he was in hospital after the accident on the sets of Coolie she went in for a relationship with a vengeance and did whatever she did rather publicly. It lasted a month.
• Kamalahasan and Sarika were in love, but not public about it for some time. But Sarika got pregnant out of wedlock. Of course, Vani Ganapathy, his wedded wife, raised an uproar and went public. But Sarika went ahead and gave birth to her love child. Later they got married and have recently split.
• Rajesh Khanna, the 30+ Superstar was into a relationship with Anju Mahendru when he announced his runaway marriage to a girl half his age, the 16-year-old Dimple Kapadia. Dimple at that time was romantically involved with Rishi Kapoor. The marriage was a disaster and the Superstar moved on to Tina Munim. Dimple left with her two daughters and made a dramatic comeback with Sagar opposite Rishi again. Later she was also involved deeply with Sunny Deol. As for Rajesh and Tina, their love could be measured by the fact that they would even share their toothbrush and were the first ones to start ?living together?. Later, Tina married Anil Ambani.

• The latest was, of course, Preeti Jain who accused Madhur Bhandarkar for ?raping? her for five yeard. She alleged that he had promised to cast her in his film. Though it created quite a sensation and nightmarish time for Madhur it fizzled out.
• A huge ruckus was created by Vivek Oberoi when he called a press conferance to tell the world that Salman, blinded by his ?love? for Aishwarya had called him up 41 times in the middle of the night. Vivek went on camera sensationally charging Salman with harassment and even Aishwarya went on record saying how she was ill treated and mentally abused by Salman. Since Salman kept quiet and nothing came of it really.
• Mamta Kulkarni had accused Rajkumar Santoshi of asking her for sexual favours and on not complying her role was chopped off.
• Manisha Koirala had accused Subhash Ghai of chasing her down the corridors, though later she decided to keep mum.
• Mahima Chaudhary turned coat on her mentor Subhash Ghai, after her stunning success in her debut film, Pardes, and later back-pedalled.
• Tabu had accused Jackie Shroff of attemps to rape her after calling her to his friend Danny Denzongpa?s house. She apologised later.
• Chetan Anand?s sons, Ketan and Vivek, were charged and sentenced to life imprisonment for conspiracy for the murder of Priya Rajvansh who had been living with their father. Later they were granted bail. Vijay Anand, too, took filmdom by storm when he married his much younger niece.
• Gulshan Kumar, the music baron, was gunned down in broad daylight in front of a temple. More shocking was Nadeem being accused of this murder and his fleeing to London, where he still lives.
• Producer Brij Sadanah gunned down his wife, daughter and son. And later killed himself. The wife and daughter died, but Kamal survived somehow. This was result of a family feud.
• Boney Kapoor?s marriage to Sridevi made his first wife, Mona, livid. Once when Sridevi was pregnant they came face to face in a party, and taking the opportunity Mona?s mom started assaulting her until Archana Puran Singh intervened and stopped the enraged woman.
• Rekha was seen running down a Juhu road after a fight with Raj Babbar in his office in the middle of the night. Amitabh Bachchan was waiting outside. Torn between the two men she wanted to flee from both. Amitabh in a white Ambassador tried to stop her, but she was hysterical and just kept running.

Randhir Kapoor Hospitalised
Veteran actor/director/producer Randhir Kapoor was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai on Friday Night.
Both his daughters, Karishma and Kareena rushed to his side as Kapoor complained of chest pain and uneasiness and his brother Rajiv decided to get him admitted. The sisters have been keeping constant care of their father, keeping tabs on his progress and co-ordinating with doctors.
The Kapoor family is one of the most prolific and illustrious in the industry, and to avoid any panic, the family decided to keep the news discreet and alerted hospital authorities to do the same, until all the tests were done and the diagnosis done.
On the matter Sister-in-law Neetu Singh spoke to Times of India, "He had to undergo certain tests at the hospital. But there is nothing to worry about and he is not ill. I would rather say that these are very normal tests that the doctor had prescribed for him."
We hope for the best for Mr. Randhir Kapoor.

2012: Top Controversies that Rocked Bollywood
Whether it's new films, new trends, new styles and techniques, or new faces, Bollywood never compromises. However, if there's one thing that will never leave our stars, it's controversy. Controversies play a crucial role in the public life of a celebrity. It can break your aura in a minute, and it can even keep you in the headlines for the longest time. Scandals come and go in a celebrity's life by the minute, and while most could be genuine, it's also quite often that baseless rumours are created to give a person or a film more footage. Some are big, some are small. But whatever be their nature, no celebrity manages to keep away.
We've seen most of our big stars tackle controversy this year. We've even seen starlets create senseless gossip. Here's a recap on the hottest controversies of 2012.
Shah Rukh Khan and "we've lost count" controversies -
If there's one star who just kept us on our toes this year, it was King Khan SRK. The poor fellow had the worst luck this year, getting embroiled into one controversy after the other. And just like Shah Rukh, who can 'forgive but not forget', we haven't forgotten either.
1. SRK slaps/punches Shirish Kundir - At a party hosted by Sanjay Dutt, Shirish supposedly got extremely sloshed and in his drunken stupor made a few nasty comments for Khan. When Shirish didn't comply after being told off by Shah Rukh, he was slapped by wife Farah's best friend. Apparently, Sanjay intervened before things turned uglier, but the damage was already done. Shirish announced it to the media as SRK made a getaway. This brawl made the dynamic duo, Farah and Shah Rukh part ways for some time. The latest is that both have let bygones be bygones, but Shirish is not ready to let go just yet.
2. SRK banned from Wankhede Stadium - It got ugly when a happy SRK brought some kids to Wankhede Stadium for the post-match presentation ceremony during the IPL back in May. What followed next was a scuffle between the superstar and the security guards at the stadium. Sources stated it was because Shah Rukh got offended after security got personal with him, while Shah Rukh stated it was because one of the personnel was rude to his daughter Suhana. He got enraged and a physical scuffle followed. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) stated that the actor was banned from entering the stadium for five years for pushing and absuing officials. When SRK's team Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL a few days later, it was the men in purple having the last laugh.
3. Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra having an affair? - While this is still heavily embroiled in controversy and most people feel its conjecture, the news did create headlines for a while. There were reports that during the shooting for Farhan Akhtar's Don 2, PeeCee and SRK got a little too close for comfort. While insiders claimed that the affiar was in fact true, it didn't help much that Priyanka and Shah Rukh's twitter was under constant scrutiny for being so in-tuned with each other. While its old news that Priyanka has had a crush on the superstar for the longest time, Gauri's alleged ignoring of Priyanka at various public dos spoke for itself. While Shah Rukh had to suffer a little breakdown at home, Priyanka had to face quite a bit of dirt on her own as well. The rumours were fuelled by Karan Johar's rants on twitter as well. It was all very ugly, and it's not even confirmed!
4. Rajesh Khanna's demise opens a Pandora's Box of demons - It was the death of a superstar, and the whole nation was mourning. While the audience, celebrities and fans alike were saddened due to the death of their beloved star, there were a few people who were mourning for all the wrong reasons. The late actor's lover Anita Advani didn't waste a day in sending a legal notice to protect herself for eviction from Khanna's bungalow, Aashirwad with a claim of Domestic Violence. Anita had been in a live-in relationship with Khanna for eight years. And while Rajesh's family including daughters Twinkle and Rinke, son-in-law Akshay and ex-wife Dimple wanted to convert the house into a museum, Anita claimed rightful ownership of the house. The family members claimed that all her claims were fabrication. Later, Advani even went to the extent of saying that Khanna sexually assaulted her in her teenage before their affair. Sadly, the one man who has been defamed in all this, is permanently unavailable for comment.
5. Aishwarya's Weight Gain - This is star power. Aishwarya can not do a film for three years, and still be in the news. But this time, her reason for hitting the tabloids was just plain sad. The gorgeous Ash was under constant scrutiny from pregnancy to delivery. And if it wasn't enough that her baby Aaradhya was the media's darling and still is, the actress was not left alone even during post-pregnancy weight gain. The actress who is a known face all over the world, was criticized immensely for not losing that weight fast enough. A video on the same went absolutely viral with people commenting negatively about her left and right. Apparently, it was her 'duty to look good.' what riled up the controversy even more was Aishwarya's public appearances at the Festival de Cannes in all her 'plus-sized glory.' All of the film fraternity supported her, and slowly the mean words dialled down. Now Aaradhya is the papparazzi's new obsession.
5. Saif Ali Khan's Taj Brawl - The Chhote Nawab is the epitome of courteousness and polite behaviour most of the times. So it was surely a shocker when Saif got into a legal hassle thanks to a brawl with an NRI dining in the same restaurant as him. Saif was hanging out with then girlfriend Kareena, Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel at the Taj Hotel's Wasabi restaurant. After the next table complained that the celebs were making a bit too much noise, an argument ensued between Shakeel and the NRI seated at the complainer table. Saif interfered, only to punch the man in the face and break his nose. Thankfully he surrendered to the Police next day and because this was just a few days before the release of Saif-Kareena film Agent Vinod, it got them the much needed publicity.
7. Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar cat-fight! - After rumours of the SRK-Priyanka affair surfaced, it got ugly even for their friends. While some reports say it was because Priyanka's friend made a few unwarranted statements about Karan, most believe it was in defense of good friend Gauri that Karan got miffed and called PeeCee 'spineless' on Twitter. They kept at their catfights for some time, even though Priyanka had just worked in Karan's Agneepath a few months ago. A few days later, Karan claims to have 'overreacted' and called Priyanka to apologise. They let bygones be bygones and even made a little stunt out of it on Jhalak Dikhla jaa, a dance show where Karan was the judge and Priyanka came as a guest to promote her film Barfi! All is well there now, or so we hope.
8. Son of Sardaar vs. Jab Tak Hai Jaan - Diwali is considered the best time to release a film. And producers literally jump for dates during that weekend. So it was obvious that when two films of such epic proportions were released simultaneously, sparks would fly. On one side was the Ajay Devgan comic caper Son of Sardaar, and on the other, was erstwhile director Yash Chopra's last directorial venture - a romance starring Shah Rukh Khan. The problem started when Ajay filed a legal complaint against Yashraj Films claiming that they had manipulated distributors and exhibitors in getting more screens for their film. Yashraj apparently blocked a majority of multiplexes and single screen leaving Ajay with a minimal number for his film. While we didn't hear much about it from yashraj, the controversy didn't leave us for about a month. Both films came, JTHJ with 2600 screens and SOS with 2000, enjoyed a fare share of business and left screens. People have now moved on to the new releases of year as both films didn't claim a long shelf life in terms of content or the box office.
9. Barfi! gets a Bollycat - While the film about a deaf-mute man's connection with an autistic woman blew the minds of fans and audiences alike, the Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra-Ileana D'Cruz starrer was not safe from its share of controversy. Anurag Basu's directorial venture did well, but got immense flak from critics for as many as 22 long sequences which were lifted from external sources including Hollywood films of the likes of Gene Kelly, Charlie Chaplin and even The Notebook. After the news came out, there were videos on Youtube that started doing the rounds, people lashing on social networking sites about whether it deserved all the acclaim. To top it off, Barfi! was chosen as India's official entry for the Best Foreign Film Category at the Academy Awards due in February 2013. While the filmmakers and the choosing committee representatives claimed that the fact was not hidden from the audience and it was mere inspiration, many believe that the film being sent to a competition of that stature will bring shame. Other think it is a proud fact that the film has done so well. This issue is yet to be resolved as the shortlist will only be known by January 15.

Vidya Balan's Wedding Diaries
So now that the Boombat Balan is breaking a million hearts and will no longer be single, let's look at how the woman who dares to be different plans to celebrate her special day and her life henceforth.
*Vidya is marrying Siddharth Roy Kapur, head honcho of UTV Motion Pictures, who is a two-time divorcee. We hope he's third time lucky!
* The entire schedule of Vidya's upcoming film opposite Emraan Hashmi for Rajkumar Gupta, Ghanchakkar, was designed keeping Vidya's wedding in mind. Looks like the dats had been fixed way before they were ousted to the media. Ghanchakkar is also produced by UTV, the company for which beau Siddharth is CEO.
*The sangeet ceremony was held yesterday and was an extremely private affair confined to only close friends and family.
*Vidya wore a traditional pattu silk saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukerji at the Sangeet that was held at her residence.
*Vidya's cousins got together with Siddharth's brothers, actors Kunaal and Aditya to put together an act for the couple using only Vidya's hit songs.
*Vidya is said to have performed on her superhit track from The Dirty Picture, Ooh La La at her sangeet ceremony.
*Vidya will have an exquisite trousseau for the wedding including Kanjeevaram silk saris from Tamil Nadu. Some of the sarees have been designed by Vidya's favourite Sabyasachi Mukherjee, including the one she wore on her sangeet. In fact, one of the sarees to be included was designed by the winning participant of a design competition via a leading daily newspaper. The total number of sarees is 18. They are all hand-crafted, and two out of those are bridal wear. The sarees done on Madras Silk will be hand-crafted by Sabyasachi himself.
*The actual ceremony is going to take place in both Punjabi and South Indian style on December 14th, 2012.
*The date has been specially picked for the ceremony as it is auspicious for the family. Vidya's sister, Priya, was also married on this date.
*Vidya's family will make its way to Sri Subramania Samaj temple in Chheda Nagar, Chembur on the wedding morning.
*The wedding will be in both Punjabi and South Indian style at Vidya' residence.
*A part of the ceremony, will also take place at Kapur's parents' residence in Jolly Makers Tower, Cuffe Parade. We hear the guest list included Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ekta Kapoor, R Balki, Tushhar Kapoor, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Milan Luthria, Vishal Bhardwaj, only Vidya's closest friends from filmdom, and otherwise.
*A reception in Chennai is planned, if rumours are to be believed.
*The couple will head for a honeymoon in the Caribbean Islands post the wedding.
*Siddharth has purchased a sea-facing apartment for his lady love on Juhu Tara Road, Juhu, Mumbai which is reportedly valued at Rs. 14 crore. Vidya has done it up, and the couple will move in once back from their honeymoon. Now, that's a wedding gift!
Guess this is the biggest wedding of the season!

Salman Khan concerned about Manisha Koirala's ovarian cancer
The friendship between Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala has come a long way since they worked in Khamoshi, Sangdil Sanam and Majdhaar back in 1990. The superstar who is a close pal of Manisha Koirala is very much concerned about her health.
According to an insider, Salman is constantly in touch with Manisha to check if he can help her in any way. Other friends from the film fraternity who are standing beside her in this hour of pain are Govinda and his wife Sunita. They rushed to Manisha’s house when they heard about her illness. They remained with her until she boarded the flight to the US. Deepthi Naval also flew with her to the US and was with her family during the operation.
It is good to hear of such comradeship in bollywood. Manisha is doing fine and in the road to recovery.

Playboy says Bipasha Basu should have ranked #6 in AskMen's list of the most desirable women of 2013
AskMen, popular website and magazine, released their list of the most desirable women of 2013 where Bipasha Basu ranked #67. For the most part, Playboy thinks they done good; but they still felt a few changes were in order. Hence, Playboy gives us their Top 10 from AskMen's Top 99 Women where they place Bipasha Basu at 6th position.
