2013 Fever Green Model Story with Kim Jong Kook (English)

1. What is your schedule like when you have no shows?
-My wake up time changes a lot. I usually do most music work late at night so I would wake up around 1pm on days I worked. I usually wake up around 11am on normal days. I eat as soon as I wake up then clean myself. Then I go to the gym and workout for 2~3 hours. After working out, I do company work or meet people. Then I go home.
2. You are famous for self-management and you recently lectured at KAIST about self-management. What is some of your self-management skills?
-1. Relationship: Always lose little bit in a relationship.
-2. Health: Focus more on internal health than external.
3. What do you think is the most important thing in self-management?
-Value yourself. The fundamental of self management starts from valuing yourself.
4. There must be hard and difficult things about self-management, but you must gain more from self-management. What is some positive things about having such a strict self-management?
-I get to do FeverGreen CF? ^^ Also, it allowed me to work for a long time in this industry and by doing so it gave me a positive attitude. It is hard to pick a particular thing, but a lot of people including myself have this positive attitude which allows us to connect.
5. You are famous for being a sports-mania. What made you love sports so much? What is your workout routine?
-I liked playing sports at a young age, but I lost a lot of weight preparing for Turbo. My mom who likes sports recommend me to do weight training. When I focus on something, I am a type of person who really concentrates on it. That is why I focused a lot on weight training. Since I love sports so much, I naturally got to play a lot of different sports. My workout routine: Stretching, Weight, Abs, and back stretching. My daily weight training routine is different everyday. One day I would focus on lower body and so on. (upper body, chest, shoulder) I would sometimes do arms. I always do back stretching because I have a disc problem.
6. How is your eating habit? What food do you enjoy eating?
-I avoid food with high sodium. I usually eat food with high protein rather than carbs. I eat a lot of vegetables. I do not really control my portion, but I try to not eat anything at night. This eating habit helps you a lot with diet and health.
7. When you are working out or traveling, what is your favorite fashion item?
-I do not really prepare special clothing for working out when I travel. Since I like training clothes a lot, I always take few fashionable training clothes. I personally wear training clothes a lot.
8. When you are filming shows like RM, you have a chance to travel to foreign countries. What is your must travel item?
-I have been studying english for a very long time so I always bring english related books. I take other books as well. I also bring iPod Touch and headphone to listen to music. I also try to take few workout equipments if I can.
9. What is one item item that you want to recommend to the FeverGreen customers?
-Books. Most people have smartphone these days so you can do a lot of things with it, but since I am old style, I want to recommend books.
10. It must be hard to work out when you are traveling. How do you work out when you are traveling?
-Since you cannot use a lot of equipments, I do a lot of workouts that uses my body. Example: Squats, Push ups, Abs, and stretching. It is very important to do these kind of workouts as well. When I travel around with my parents, I walk with them.
11. What is your favorite FeverGreen item?
-Shorts. I love shorts so much, I sometimes say, "I wear shorts until the water freezes." When I wore FeverGreen shorts, it was very comfortable and was tight. I think I will wear it a lot.
12. What was your first impression of FeverGreen clothes?
-I have seen many outdoor brands and I could see FeverGreen's special concept. FeverGreen's concept is light/simple life. It is very similar to what I strive in life so it is very familiar and likable to me.
13. FeverGreen is trying to convey simple/comfortable/light life style to the costumers. What is your definition of light lifestyle?
-Strangely, the message that FeverGreen is trying to send is very similar to my mindset. Instead of focusing on how others look at you, I focus on me. I try to be simple and comfortable, which makes your life more light.
