Malaysia Lead In Six Categories After Day Two Of Jet Ski Championship
KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 5 (Bernama) -- Malaysia are leadingin six out eight categories being competed in the World Jet SkiChampionships, which entered its second day at Pulau Duyong here Friday.
The six categories are Novice Runabout 4-Stroke Stock Open, ExpertRunabout 800 Open (Malaysia), Expert Runabout Open, Expert RunaboutOpen, Pro-Am Runabout 800 Open and Pro-Am Runabout Open.
The other two categories are the Veteran Runabout Open and Women'sRunabout Open, where participants from Thailand and the United Statesare in the lead.
In the Novice Runabout 4-Stroke Stock Open, Peter Hor from LtKawasaki Racing is leading with 133 points while Hanif Shukri from theCTM team is hot on his heels with 101 points.
In the Expert Runabout 800 Open (Malaysia), Mohd Nur Azahari Ahmat Baddri leads with 120 points.
In the Expert Runabout Open, Supak Settura of WiraJet Sports and Marine leads with 120 points.
The Expert Runabout Open (Malaysia) sees Ahmad Dawi Alias of CTMRacing Team Ku ADEQ leading with 96 points while in the Pro-Am Runabout800 Open and Pro-Am Runabout Open, Supadet Tiansai of Eme Jetski TeamRacing is leading in both events.
In the Veteran Runabout Open, Thailand's Pichette Settura is atthe top with 113 points while in the Women's Runabout open, Amy FrancesGreen, three-times world champion, leads over six other competitorswith 120 points.
Some 100 participants from locally and abroad are taking part in the meet which offers total prize money of RM82,500.
