aritu jalan melaka..peyno ada ternampak satu signboard betulis MELAKA AUTOCITY berhampiran MITC sebelah hiway ayerkeroh-Krubong tu...nampak kawasan lori2 berat dan disebelahnya seperti tanah lapang yg baru nak dinaikkan..

nak tanya warga melaka...kat situ diorang nak buat bandar kereta seperti di auto city dijuru penang ke?? di mana semua sales n service, bengkel keta ditempatkan disatu kawasan...

pada siapa warga melaka yg tau ...boleh la share info

Melaka Set To Have An Auto Hub

MELAKA, Nov 18 (Bernama) -- An automotive integrated centre "Melaka Autocity," launched in Ayer Keroh, near here today is expected to commence operations by January 2008, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said.

He was confident that the centre, which offered all automotive products, services and that related to automotive, would become a popular destination among auto and motoring fans.

"We sell everything, right from bicycles, motorcycles, local and imported cars, and used and new models," he told reporters after a ground breaking ceremony here today.

Melaka Autocity is developed by Kumpulan Jaymuda Bhd while Bumi Automative (M) Sdn Bhd manages it.

Mohd Ali said that the first such centre to be set up in the country would house renowned global automotive companies and Malaysian car manufacturers including Proton, Perodua and Naza.

The centre will have a huge exhibition room offering a selection of luxury and sports cars, big bikes and scooters.

It will become the country's automotive hub in line with Melaka's aim to become a developed state by 2010, Mohd Ali said.

Jaymuda's managing director Datuk Wong Soon Lin in his speech said that apart from the three "S" concept namely sales, service and spare parts, Melaka Autocity also offers a service centre, insurance and hire purchase,

A restaurant will also be set up at the centre, he said.
