Synopsis
Set in the Joseon period, The Tale of Lady Ok is about the journey to success of a female slave, whose name, status, and even her husband were fake.

Ok Tae-young is a slave who becomes a legal expert. Even in difficult situations, she doesn't hesitate to help people. However, she has a secret. Her secret is that her name, husband, and her status are all fake. She happens to meet Cheon Seung-hwi. He is a story-teller and travels all around the country, reciting novels to people. He happens to meet Ok Tae-young and falls in love with her at first sight.

Lim Ji-yeon as Ok Tae-young

• A legal expert in Joseon. She is loved by everyone because she helps others even in difficult situations. However, her name, identity, and even her husband are all fake.
  

Choo Young-woo as Cheon Seung-hwi

• A story-teller who covers his face with a veil and travels around the country reciting novels to people. He falls in love with Ok Tae-young at first sight when he meets her by chance and supports her wholeheartedly even after he finds out about her true identity.
  

Yeonwoo as Cha Mi-ryeong

• An eager apprentice learning from Ok Tae-young. Cha Mi-ryeong is characterized by her kindness and boldness, particularly in helping those in need, but she harbors a secret she can't reveal to anyone.
  

Kim Jae-won as Sung Do-gyeom

• A beloved figure in the village. Sung Do-gyeom holds great respect for his sister-in-law Ok Tae-young who has been a pillar of support since his childhood.

I mmg minat genre saeguk zmn joseon,esp berkaitan istana..cuma zmn goryeo tak minat sgt sbb mcm byk perang.tp dr zmn goryeo pin depa ada historian yg rekodkan everything that happened in the palace kan.cuma drama ni psl rakyat luar istana rasanya so tak perlu kaji fakta sejarah sgt la

Ada tgk tak the history of us..crown prince tu ialah yi sun/lee sun watak dlm the red sleeve.mewarisi takhta dr atuk dia sbb ayah dia mati muda..dr keturunan royalty + slave (moyang dia).cerita psl atuk dia yi geum dlm drama haechi.actually dlm byk family kerabat ni yg plg best psl famili diorg ni la.king sukjong-gyeongjo-yeongjo-jeongjo.queens n concubines yg plg femes pun zmn2 diorg ni la.byk betul kisah.

Iols tak tengok saeguk drama... kalau movie saeguk pernah tengok tapi yang Kang Dong Won berlakon... mostly banyak fight scene... tunjuk royal pun sikit je... salah satu movie Kundo tu pun pasal anak nobleman...

Ha ah..special drama 1 ep je..so mcm telefilem la..tp kalau tak fhm susur galur dinasti zmn joseon ni mmg susah nk fhm la cerita ni.kenapa crown prince nak erase benda berkaitan ayah dia dlm jurnal yg historians dah rekodkan..sbb tnjk sikit je psl ayah dia tu (prince sado)
Btw i mmg suka saeguk, siap baca kat wiki la psl raja2 zmn joseon ni drama jewel in the palace n dong yi yg sgt byk ep tu pun gigih la tgk dulu

Iols pun dulu start dgn movie tgk citer saeguk ni…tajuk movie tu the throne, ada yoo ah in & song kang ho berlakon…citer pasal prince sado jugak…lepas tu baru pelan2 tgk drama saeguk…lama2 faham ler…paling best & puas hati tgk drama 6 flying dragons…ramai pelakon2 best dlm tu…dulu ada kat Netflix & viu tapi skrg dah tak nmpk kat mana2 ott…lagi2 lepas yoo ah in ada kes…
