here coming soon KWS's new drama...
Kwon Sang woo will be playing the role of a male socialite who is ordered to create a scandal to bring down a woman whose the dream is to become South Korean first female president by her enemies in SBS summer drama Dae Mul 대물.
This drama is adapted from a popular manhwa of the same name will air after 'On air' ends.

DEAD PROJECT DAEMUL TO BE REVIVED

A highly anticipated drama project that fizzled last year may get a second chance at broadcast life: producers are hoping to give Daemul (aka Big Fish, or 대물) a second go.
The 10 billion won drama production had been a big-buzz project, first of all because it was based off a popular comic, and second of all when it cast A-list stars in the roles of the female president and high-class gigolo: Go Hyun-jung (HIT) and Kwon Sang-woo (Bad Love) in what was to be his big comeback project.
However, Daemul encountered numerous problems with its budget, PDs, and filming locations; SBS then dropped it from its schedule; and eventually it fizzled.
Now, Lee Kim Productions is hoping to get the drama back into production and on the air sometime this year. Interestingly, they say they want to continue with the same actors, but that might be tough, as both are now headlining their own series (Kwon in the current Cinderella Man and Go in the upcoming Queen Seon-deok). LKP is currently working on adapting scripts from the manhwa, which was created by Park In-kwon. Park also created the manhwa War of Money, which was turned into a hit drama in 2007 by the same production company. |

"Daemul" staring Kwon Sang Woo to revive

SBS's abandonment big project "Daemul" will become a rebirth after spending one year cancelation.The production team plan to depart shooting in the second half of this year.
In last year SBS drama "Daemul" drew public attention by the big budget investment starred Korea top stars Go Hyun Jung and Kwon Sang Woo. Unfortunately, conflict between SBS and the production company has caused the postponement.
However, an officer of to Lee Kim Production recently disclosed, "Our target is to boot the shooting in the second half of this year and are preparating for reviving 'Daemul'" and "We are currently working on original-based-scenarios, yet full casting of actors will go on later. We would like to maintain the original protagonists."
"Daemul" is a interesting story of the first female president of Korea played by Go Hyun Jung and Kwon Sang-woo will be acting a lady-killer, her counterpart.

Lee Soo-kyung joins Daemul

Wow, Lee Soo-kyung is working nonstop: She has been cast in Daemul, which comes just after she wrapped the recent comedic series My Country Calls, which she’d tackled soon after finishing the weekend melodrama Loving You A Thousand Times.
Lee is mostly known for her bubbly, energetic image and has often played the cute, bumbling heroine (see: Soulmate, Golden Age of the Daughter-in-Law, My Country Calls). She’ll depart from that in Daemul, where she’ll portray a sexy career woman, Ryu Se-jin, who earned her MBA abroad and is described as confident and proud.
This must be the main female role mentioned earlier when series star Go Hyun-jung nearly quit due to a lack of movement on the production and casting front. I like Lee Soo-kyung a lot (I have a lot of Soulmate love!), but I’m not entirely sold on her as a sexy businesswoman opposite Go Hyun-jung. Then again, not a lot of actresses would be able to challenge Go for the spotlight in a drama. (Sort of makes you wish for another Choi Ji-woo rivalry, doesn’t it?)
Daemul will follow My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho on SBS and premieres in October.
