Assalamualaikum forumers,

Ramai bertanya tentang side effects vaccines2 yang ada sekarang. Biasanya, side effects apa2 vx adalah dekat2 nak sama sahaja,tetapi saya beri disini utk 3 jenis yg utama bagi Covid-19 nyer vx, utk mudahkan pembacaan kita. Side-effects vx ini jarang sikit if umur <65. Side-effects yg common lebih berkemungkinan berlaku selepas 1st dose AstraZeneca dan selepas 2nd dose of Pf/BioNT dan Moderna. Dalam apa2 pun vx, boleh dapat fever lebih 38c dalam 1-2 hari lepas vx, dan after 1-2 hari selepas itu, dia hilang la.

1) AstraZeneca Vx, side effects yg common:

lebih dari 1 dalam 10 mungkin dapat:

tired

sakit, bruises tempat di inject

headache

sakit muscle

sakit sendi

mual, diarrhoea atau muntah

demam 38 Celsius ke atas

Rare, eg lebih dari 1 dalam 1000 (seribu) orang gitu:

kurang appetite jap

dizzy pening2

ngantuk

sweating

bengkak lymph nodes

rash

Serious side effects eg allergic reactionadalah 1 dalam 100,000 dari AZ ni

2) Moderna vx yang common ie lebih dari 1 dalam 10 mungkin dapat:

tired

sakit, bruises tempat inject

headache

bengkak lymph nodes kat ketiak

sakit muscle

sakit sendi

mual or muntah

demam lebih 38C

Rare tapi dgn Moderna ni lebih dari 1 in10,000 (sepuluh ribu) mungkin dapat:

Bell's palsy

bengkak face - jika ada facial fillers

Serious side effects eg allergic reactionadalah 1 dalam 1 million dari Moderna ni

3) Pfizer/BioNTech vx common side effects lebih dari 1 dalam 10 mungkin dapat:

sakit or bengkak tempat inject

headache

sakitmuscle

sakit sendi

mual

demam lebih 38C

Rare side effects ie 1 dalam 1,000 (seribu) gitu,boleh dapat:

itchiness tempat cucuk

bengkak lymph nodes

sleeplessness

dalam 1 in 10,000 (sepuluh ribu) gitu boleh dapat Bell’spalsy.

Serious side-effects ialah 1 in 100,000 ie allergic reaction macam kat atas sana

Conclusion: safe sahaja, maka go lah vaccinate yourselves dan orang yang tersayang

pengalaman saya sendiri:

bulan 11 2020, dapat vaccine Influenzae untuk winter 2020; takde apa side-effects. wife saya demam. tahun2 lepas dia tak kena apa pun.
junior saya demam missed work 2 hari
majority of juniors ok je sekadar mcm selsema gitu

covid vaccine, saya dapat Pfizer. Ist dose cuma bengkak kat bahu kiri; 3 minggu lepas tu dapat side-effects yg sama tetapi bengkak nya lebih minor
also Pfizer: minor side-effects ie sakit kat cucuk je
junior wife sy: Pfizer, 1st dose ok, 2nd dose bad vomitting sampai kena masuk ward
junior saya: Pfizer, 1st dose ok, 2nd demam 2 hari
juniors kawan2: agak ramai yang mual dan ada yang muntah2 1-2 days
majority: bengkak 1st dose
sorang junior sakit kepala (tak missed work)

overall: saya rasa go for it jangan fikir byk sgt. macam kita naik kereta pagi2 pegi kerja, tak overthinking pun kan?

Members of the public are asked not to worry about getting the Covid-19 vaccines despite allegations that the vaccines may cause side effects.

The health ministry’s National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) senior principal assistant director Norleen Mohamed Ali said what happened in some countries was an adverse event following immunisation (AEFI) to Covid-19 vaccines.

It is not a side effect but just vaccination reactions such as swelling and pain on the injection site which are normal, she said.

Norleen said about 80% of the recipients of the vaccine would experience such adverse effects, apart from a small percentage of those experiencing, among others, fever, headache, nausea, vomiting and even fatigue.

“These are common reactions to any vacine because this is what we call reactogenicity. From there, we also find that there is a very small percentage and very rare adverse effects that we classify as worse or more serious,” she told a virtual media briefing on Covid-19 immunisation here today.

Elaborating further, Norleen said in the context of the Comirnaty (Concentrate for Dispersion for Injection) vaccine which uses the Messenger RNA (mRNA) method for the Covid-19 vaccine, the adverse effects from taking the vaccine were coincidental.

“However, it’s difficult for us to know who will get this adverse effect because the analogy is the same as if we are allergic to food, if we don’t eat (the food that we are allergic to), we wouldn’t know. So, similar to taking medicines or vaccines, if you don’t take, we wouldn’t know,” she said.
Norleen said all types of medicines and even traditional products could also give allergic reactions, just like these Covid-19 vaccines.

Meanwhile, she said the agency would carry out benefit assessments on whether the vaccination would exceed the risk faced by the recipients.

“The stigma that if there are side effects, then the vaccine is dangerous, is wrong. If we look at the United States, they have given 21 million doses, the number of vaccine recipients who get these side effects is very low and most are mild and heal on its own.

“Their infectivity rate is also declining. This vaccine is not only to protect ourselves, but also the community as a whole,” she said.

Norleen said individuals experiencing adverse effects can lodge a report at the nearest health facility or via MySejahtera application or the NPRA official website.
Malaysia is set to roll out on Feb 26 the biggest vaccination exercise it has ever undertaken, targeting 80% of the population or 26 million individuals through three phases.

Vaksin Covid-19: Tukang cuci, pengawal keselamatan terpinggir

Banyak perdebatan berlaku mengenai siapa yang harus menerima vaksin Covid-19 lebih awal dalam fasa pertama Program Imunisasi Covid-19 Kebangsaan.

Bagaimanapun ada kumpulan tertentu - yang bekerja keras selama wabak itu menyerang - dilihat tidak mendapat perhatian sewajarnya.

Kerajaan merancang untuk memberikan vaksin terawal kepada kakitangan perubatan, anggota pasukan penguat kuasa dan wakil rakyat terlebih dahulu. Malah Putrajaya bersedia membuat pertimbangan untuk memasukkan guru dalam fasa pertama vaksinasi Covid-19.

Namun pekerja pembersihan - yang turut menyumbang tenaga dan berdepan dengan risiko dijangkiti - tidak mendapat banyak perhatian sehingga Persatuan Perubatan Malaysia (MMA) semalam mencadangkan agar kerajaan mendahulukan mereka berbanding ahli politik.

Ahli politik, kata MMA, boleh menunggu lebih lama untuk mendapatkan perlindungan berkenaan.

Untuk rekod, walaupun pekerja pembersihan hospital memainkan peranan penting sepanjang tempoh wabak itu ada, mereka dianggap tidak layak mendapat elaun bulanan khas RM600 daripada kerajaan seperti yang dinikmati kakitangan barisan hadapan lain.

Sekarang, ada desakan untuk memastikan bahawa mereka tidak dipinggirkan lagi - kali ini dalam program vaksinasi.

Jaringan Pekerja Kontrak Kerajaan turut menyokong saranan MMA agar kerajaan mengakui pekerja pembersihan hospital juga termasuk sebagai petugas barisan hadapan yang perlu diberi keutamaan.

Setiausahanya M Sivaranjani juga memberitahu MMA juga perlu mendesak kerajaan agar menambah memperluas elaun khas untuk petugas barisan hadapan kepada pekerja pembersihan juga.

Dia yang juga penyelaras Biro Pekerja Parti Sosialis Malaysia menambah ekoran ada cadangan agar guru dimasukkan dalam kumpulan pertama peserta program vaksinasi, langkah yang sama juga perlu dilaksanakan ke atas kakitangan pembersihan serta pengawal keselamatan sekolah.

Katanya berbanding dengan kanak-kanak, orang tua lebih berdepan risiko yang lebih tinggi untuk dijangkiti Covid-19.
