There’s something genuinely delightful about taking the cheery commercialized abundance of Christmas, and contrasting it with the darkest, creepiest things imaginable. FromGremlins to The Nightmare Before Christmas— even Spinal Tap’s “Christmas With the Devil” — there’s a tongue-in-cheek subversive thrill to the idea; a little bit of naughty when everyone’s supposed to be nice. Mining that most specific of veins is clearly what’s on the mind of Krampus, the latest film from writer-director Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat, X2).

The film is loosely based on the eponymous figure from German folklore, a sort of dark-mirror version of Santa Claus who, instead of bringing gifts and delights to good children, shows up with cloven feet and horns to drag the bad ones down into the underworld. Plop the figure into the middle of a suburban family Christmas, replete with bickering in-laws and dead-eyed cousins straight from Christmas Vacation, and it’s easy to see the opportunity for fun, satire, and some real holiday scares. They’re not actually there inKrampus, mind you, but you can certainly see the opportunity.

Last week aku jumpa cd Krampus ni so aku beli, sebab terpengaruh dgn iklan kat forum ni. Setiap kali aku click thread setiap kali tu la iklan Krampus ni muncul.

Bila i dah tengok movie tu, plot cita tu memang lain sangat.

So, i tengok balik la iklan Krampus tu, memang lain dengan cd yang aku beli. Kena tipu ker :(

iols baru tengok tadi...bosan sundelsss! baik aku tengok mockingjay yang korang kata nan hado tu...lebih kepada cerita untuk kanak2...memula aku ingatkan horror comedy...mencikkkkkkk

jalan cerita dah boleh agak
mula2 jer suspen
sampai tgh2 hingga hujung dah boring dan ending yang x best:sleepy:

jauh beza sangat tu ;P pernah tengok fiulem Chucky patung yang jahat tu? lebih kurang macam tu la...tapi chucky tu kira best lah jugak...yang ni so so jer...part seram tu adela sesikit

Not worth it....Movie ni cuba nak gabungkan comedy dengan horror tapi dua2 tak jadi... Kelakar pun tak... Scarry pun tak..   A twist at the end still cannot save the movie..1.5/5 bintang
