Kuala Lumpur, 11 November 2014 – U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco, excites music lovers with the introduction of FREE data for music streaming in collaboration with KK Box, Era, My.FM and Hitz.FM. Enabling consumers to stream their favourite tunes all day and all night, U Mobile launched another market-first service to give away more value to its consumers.

From 11 November 2014 to 15 May 2015, U Mobile’s new and existing prepaid, postpaid and broadband customers who are subscribed to the telco’s data plans will be eligible to enjoy FREE data to stream the latest music hits as well as their favourite radio programs with no limitations.
U Mobile is the first and only telco in the market to offer FREE data for music streaming and the strong collaboration with KK Box, Era FM, MyFM and Hitz.FM has allowed for the service to be possible amongst its valued customers. Once the promotional period has ended, U Mobile data users can still continue enjoying this service at the lowest rate in the market of RM3 per month in order to stream the hottest music in town with the telco’s high speed mobile internet, minus the worries of exhausting their data quota.
Shaking grounds as a serious data player in the market
Being a data-focused mobile operator, this new service offering by U Mobile sits well with the telco’s wide range of mobile internet plans. Currently, U Mobile customers have been able to
enjoy the recently launched Free Non-Stop Video Streaming add-on for YouTube and Tonton which offers free data for video streaming on both platforms from 2am to 10am daily.
Customising its data packages to cater to the different needs and lifestyles of its consumers, U Mobile is looking to provide more value-added services through the introduction of the service and promotion for music streaming.
