Marine turtles are in crisis and they need your help!

Marine turtle numbers continue to plummet in most parts of the world and some populations are at the brink of extinction due to:

Loss of nesting and feeding habitats
Egg-collection for consumption
Fishery-related mortality and pollution
In the 1950's some 10,000 Leatherback turtle nests were recorded at Rantau Abang, Terengganu. There have been no recorded nestings of Leatherbacks in the past two years.

Will you let the Hawksbill turtle, Olive Ridleys and Green turtles suffer the same fate? It is not too late to help these majestic species. There are simple things that you can do that can have a profound impact on the survival of marine turtles. You can help ensure that they continue to swim in our oceans!

Adopt a turtle today and help WWF to:
Monitor and patrol nesting beaches to minimize poaching of eggs
Conduct research to understand their habitats and biology
Continue our efforts in calling for stronger and more holistic laws to protect turtles
